Rarely listen to anything while writing any more. Used to have a radio running a Classic Rock station and sometimes put in instrumental stuff (Holst's The Planets, Petrushka's Firebird Suite, etc.) for occasional motivation. Found stuff with lyrics is too distracting.

I have a highly variable part time job, and a wife who's a home healthcare nurse. I write whenever I'm not in the middle of something else and have access to my phone or laotop.

Now I'm waiting for someone to post a "Hearth Shopping Thriller" just to mess with all of us. Hmm...

You are mistaken - those threads are all SUBJECTIVE. Sure they do point out some common issues, but each time someone gives feedback, it is their own opinion. And even a very informed opinion (such as Tempokai's) is still just that, an opinion, and therefore subjective. And sometimes feedback...
