    The journey

Dad worked for a newspaper. About the same time that I learned to write (so five or six), he brought home a damaged roll of newsprint bigger than I was. I started drawing, writing, even trying to make board games on that paper. IIRC that was the first of three giant rolls of newsprint that he...

New Boys' Love Story: 'His Name Was the Chorus' (Feedback Welcome!)

There must be a few - but there is more a group of BL writers (there's a post about it up in Authors General)

What genres of music do you listen to while writing/reading?

Rarely listen to anything while writing any more. Used to have a radio running a Classic Rock station and sometimes put in instrumental stuff (Holst's The Planets, Petrushka's Firebird Suite, etc.) for occasional motivation. Found stuff with lyrics is too distracting.

    Work?

I have a highly variable part time job, and a wife who's a home healthcare nurse. I write whenever I'm not in the middle of something else and have access to my phone or laotop.

How do you get book covers for your book

Now I'm waiting for someone to post a "Hearth Shopping Thriller" just to mess with all of us. Hmm...

    Want feedbacks from an amateur?

Not at all carried away - I'm also posting it here so do need to consider other audiences (as an aside, I had corrected the "dimy" typo on the PocketFM version but hadn't done it here... also have used a different style of notations for VICC for a while but had never edited it in this chapter so...

    Very Unfair Story Feedback Thread

I wouldn't have made it as far as the reviewer did - should be "The Loving Villainess is an Ugly Duckling"

How do you get book covers for your book

Note it's not "heart-stopping" - but "hearth stopping" - it puts out the fire I guess?

Do Not Overplan Fiction At 3AM

Or you could keep that name and let the world have Ted Talks too... :s_tongue:

    Want feedbacks from an amateur?

Thanks - it's actually an audionovel (and was kind of conceived as that from the start) on PocketFM (Digital Cowboy Dane) Kind of worried about that, but couldn't give much more detail without giving away plot elements (many of which I haven't solidly worked out yet)... Close (closer than he...

Its not LitRPG, how to call it.

Ah, been a while since I looked at Shadowrun (played a physical adept once, I think in second edition) - believe it was a hybrid but more skill focused. VTM was its own thing and started a whole new class of narrative-driven games (probably with Amber Diceless Roleplay at the peak), but is more...

Its not LitRPG, how to call it.

.So if that is correct, Digital Cowboy IS LitRPG. Between Worlds is Gamelit. And both, with slightly different titles, are also on PocketFM With the shift to d20/3rd Edition, D&D became a hybrid system, like Rolemaster. HARP and a few others. Still has class/level systems in place, but the...

    Rank #13 on Astrologers

Cool. One of mine hit #17 in Delusions (not quite sure why I picked that tag); other than that, none have gotten above the high sixties, so good job!

Do Not Overplan Fiction At 3AM

Time to engage in a bit of pedantry and resurrect research I did back in my teen years; Sunday - (sunnandæg - the Anglo-saxon translation of Dies Solis) the day of that disk in the sky when there aren't too many clouds out to see it. Monday - (originally mōndæg) the day of the sun's companion...

    Gabrielle's Creative Corner Cafe!

Mexican hot chocolate is made with real milk, 100% unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, chili powder, and a little bittersweet chocolate to make the whole thing a bit creamier and smoother. It CAN add cayenne pepper and maybe, in small amounts, beet sugar but usually does not.

    Cover art Selection!! [Closed]

Man the bottom left looks like one of my wife's favorite K-Drama actors... if this is styled after a Korean show or manhwa (sp.?) I'd go with it. Otherwise, bottom right as it has the most readable combination of fonts on my monitor. Or the new revised one; without knowing the story, that...

THE BEGINNING OF IT ALL: The day of Calenmir’s assumption – CH22

You are mistaken - those threads are all SUBJECTIVE. Sure they do point out some common issues, but each time someone gives feedback, it is their own opinion. And even a very informed opinion (such as Tempokai's) is still just that, an opinion, and therefore subjective. And sometimes feedback...

    Want feedbacks from an amateur?

Well heck, since the only feedback it's gotten so far is "Need to write more chapters" and "someone else gave you five stars. I gave you four" (both from my wife)... could use some feedback on this one: Digital Cowboy | Scribble Hub

    Gabrielle's Creative Corner Cafe!

Ah, there you go, Gabrielle, making me wish my wife had taken me along to Paris on one of her doll convention trips (though the time she took my mom and one of mom's friends I was glad to stay home... :D) - only place I've had a cafe au lait was in New Orleans where it is closer to Tempokai's...
