    Promoting my Novel Boundless Gods

In the Story Feedback area (Story Feedback | Scribble Hub Forum). In the Authors General ... really, anything can happen, from being reported as an AI or illegal translation, to having your post moved to the correct area, to a flame war (as this seems to want to become) to actually getting...

    How would you explain colors?

Orange is THIS shade of gray... Blue is THAT shade of gray. Those two shades of gray mix to make orange, and if you add in blue, you get kind of brownish mess that is THIS shade of gray... (Assuming they're the rarest form of true color blind, that is)... If they just had Red/Green color...

If I do anything that makes people remember me (even in a negative light), I'd love to be able to come back every 20 years or so and see how things progressed (and just fade away if I'm no longer remembered in any way) - but I would not want to live that long, just to be able to see what happens...

pt. 2: the voice actor did the first two chapters of Diamond in the Rough, which was kind of cool - read it more like Tim Curry's "Gabriel Knight" from the old PC games than the Humphrey Bogard impersonator I had in my head but close enough.

If a near-natural AI voice is all you need, look at submitting to PocketFM. There was a voice actor trying to build up a portfolio who offered to read the first one or two chapters (depending on word count) of stuff over on Royal Road.

Writing We Are the Stories Remembering Themselves

Never heard this as the author being the one to experience these things in another life, but have always liked the theory that all of these stories happened somewhere, even the horror stories. Because we're peering into another reality as we write or dream or whatever, we don't always see thing...

Seniors, help this junior in his tribulation!!

My gut feeling (from the title and one paragraph) is this is more likely an LLM assisted translation of the author's own work in a different language but I'm just guessing from the title and first paragraph (and synopsis).

Writing Does a story necessarily have to convey a message/moral ?

Heh. After about three weeks in a modern drama class (one of them focused on reading "Waiting for Godot"), I asked myself: "Why do we always ask 'should we believe in God'? What if God doesn't believe in US?" and, in about 15 minutes, wrote a very short story about it. It wound up, somehow, in...

What is your prefered combat range?

To watch or read? Personal range - melee/hand to hand stuff. If I ever am forced to fight? As far away as possible and still able to guarantee a kill.

Writing Does a story necessarily have to convey a message/moral ?

I like to occasionally explore moral issues, but almost (there were a few, rare short story exceptions) never write a story to teach something.

The issue related to the character names.

It depends - did you use actual ethnic names, or "soundalike" names? If actual names, then don't worry about it. If "soundalikes" go back to the source and do some research for equivalents.

Hello everyone, I don't know if my story will ever find someone else's taste

Yes - the movie was based on a short story called "The Very Bad Friend" (or at least Bloch claimed that - interviewers claimed Hitchcock based in on the story of Ed Gein - a story Bloch actually kept from being filmed while he was still alive, possibly because he knew the man, and was even the...

Hello everyone, I don't know if my story will ever find someone else's taste

Ah if you're into physical books about serial killers, I would suggest The Count of Eleven by Ramsey Campbell or the three Psycho novels by Robert Bloch (Psycho, Psycho II - note the first is an adaptation of the movie, the second is unlike anything filmed in the franchise - and Psycho House).

For authors who wrote stories featuring MC in constant bodily harm, how soon did you gave your MC Regenerative Healing Factor?

Sparrow had it since the beginning. David West never really has it but frequently has healers (and a friend who's a nurse) nearby so it's rarely an issue. Dane Coleman never has it - but his Sidekick does. Jack Diamond never has it and (if I get that far) will suffer for it in the fourth book

How do you pick or choose the names of your characters and cities in your book

Had a teacher who's mom "forced" him to memorize the name of one Welch town - also the longest word that can be depicted entirely in the English alphabet. It took him about eight seconds to say, and he then explained that it literally meant something like "small town between two large hills...

Hairy Poll – You must vote

Over the course of my life I've gone from platinum when I first grew hair to a strawberry for about three years, then dishwater blonde, and stayed there for about 20 years before going gray (and thinning). So where is the "Whatever color my wife would prefer?" option as I don't really care...
