I like to think that I'm a reasonable guy, and I get mad in situations where the majority of others would too if they were in my place. Problem is I can never seem to hold onto a grudge when I get showered in gifts.

:blob_neutral: I think you can see the issue these days with the web novel world clearly with the RR writeathlon where the vast majority have written the works already long before and just wait for the writeathlon to come around.

:blob_neutral: It is sad for those who genuinely try. Writeathlon is (or rather should) for beginners, for amateurs. Instead, it is filled with highly polished prepoduced works that obviously easily take the spot lights.

Kinda hard to separate actual now-writers from then-writers, though. Best I can think of is watching the upload times of chapters to see if they're too quick. Problem is the latter can just schedule their uploads beforehand so they can mingle in with the former group.

:blob_neutral: Well, it should not be the job of the reader. It is not even truly a problem. It is just a fact that I have observed and that is sad to watch, as everything is sacrificed in the name of success. Unfortunately, you see it more and more here on SH too.
