Same with angry tire burning.Peaceful tire burning and small business looting are the favorite pastimes among Americans after all.
so its a thing now.Damn, I missed the opportunity to reply with the most recent time I used the word draped in my story.
Anyway, I’m gonna be honest. I’ve never understood this weird pseudo censorship thing as a concept. Like, does anyone on this planet (that speaks English) not know what I mean if I write the word r*pe? Does this measurably reduce the actual distress anyone emotionally triggered by this topic experiences? Is a child exposed to the partially censored word any less likely to have an awkward conversation with a parent?
When someone does it voluntarily as a way to… idk, symbolically censor themselves? I think it’s silly but whatever. It’s a stylistic choice meant to convey additional meaning. But an automated system doing it just seems… really weird. Just block the whole damn word if it’s that important. Swapping out a single letter accomplishes nothing. To be clear I’m against censorship in general, but censorship that doesn’t even censor anything pisses me off by being dumb AND ineffective!
Banal is also a good word. And also sax.so its a thing now.
I'll work "draped" in soon as I can.
cool word.
Yeah, this has gone for long enough. I honestly have no idea what to even comment to continue the conversation. Or what the conversation even was to begin with, tbh. What in the fuck is this thread?
Maaan shut yo bitch asses up or lock it.
Something that could of been over and done with after just a handful replies turned into 5 pages. lmao
We got people getting anal over the word draped or drapes, which are common english words, that even I use every so often.
If a title was censored because of it, so what? The site is babysat by bots, are you surprised? Use a different word and move on.
For example, my story wasn't accepted for the longest time until I removed the word diary from the title/synopsis.
Then we have hans and a mod giving each other the third degree over minor, autistic, volatile miscommunication for w/e reason.

I think one character "draped" their flesh over the other.I hereby propose, in order to turn the heat down and reduce toxicity, that the only acceptable comments in this thread moving forward be people posting the last time in their story they used the word draped, possibly including additional context.
“Dawn light shone through the window of a loft apartment in Port Peril, where six dresses draped over their stands, half finished but already lovely. The quiet, rhythmic lapping of waves against the cliffs was slowly joined by foot traffic and voices from the morning crowd. The young woman who owned the apartment rolled over and pulled the blankets up.”
I’m introducing a new character in this chapter, who is a tailor. It’s the first paragraph, chapter introduction.
Hey, why am I getting roped into this... Or, uh, draped into this. Surely there's something less Dawny that can be shining.“Dawn light shone through the window of a loft apartment in Port Peril, where six dresses draped over their stands, half finished but already lovely. lol. The rest of the scene is the tailor in question using telekinesis to do her morning routine in an incredibly grudging manner, heavily inspired by my wife who is NOT a morning person.Hey, why am I getting roped into this... Or, uh, draped into this. Surely there's something less Dawny that can be shining.
Have you never heard the experssion/question, "Does the carpet matches the drapes"?Tell me the last time you used draped in one of your stories or in real life.
TheKillingAlice was on your side by explaining how it is a word that is used nowadays.Yo, can we stop with all the draped stuff? Jesus Christ, guys.

I have another word I want you to remember. "Futanari." It's Japanese, not English, but it's an important word. No, I only watch complete garbage and don't have any English-speaking family.
But after this thread, I don't think I'll ever be able to forget this word.
I have another word I want you to remember. "Futanari." It's Japanese, not English, but it's an important word.
EDIT: I just realized that in my other comment I misspelled "expression."
In that case can I interest you in the Greek version, "Hermaphrodite." Truly, a superior kind.Meh, I don't like that word; it's not precise enough.
Ooh, sounds like a cool word. What does that mean?I have another word I want you to remember. "Futanari." It's Japanese, not English, but it's an important word.

Sounds even cooler. Would love to see a character with this kind of thing. In that case can I interest you in the Greek version, "Hermaphrodite." Truly, a superior kind.
As a matter of fact it is.Is it like a cool character trait?
Excellent!Would love to see a character with this kind of thing.
