That's about it as to why it's in place would be my guess.

Yup, half the time it feels like some of the more initial people responding to some of these things are trolling with assumptions about posts; or have a really misguided take on things.
Too bad the rules don't have a take on ragebaiting and trolling for those same report systems.
It's why I lurk so often when I'm usually extremely talkative, people don't feel helpful half the time, it's the whole 'ass out of you and me' bordering pride.

It's the villaines one. But it's... not a great story. It's very close to breaking SH ToS. There is just enough plot for it to stay up in case it got reported.

I generally agree. It degrades the impact/importance/significance of the word, too.
That said, it's sometimes easier to just... You know. To not allow their usage.
It just invites a fight from other groups you would rather not have.

And it's not like the current implemantation is too bothersome. Despite it being the place for a while, I haven't seen people having many issues with it.

True. History proves that a dictatorship started from controlling the language people are and aren't allowed to say. Next is the dehumanization of those that uses them, then the rewarding of snitches that reports those that uses them, and it keeps going until a big societal event occurs that set the country's trajectory into either becoming modern day China or the collapsed USSR.

You reply to a person who started crusade against translations and asked to prohibit monetization of fanfics. I messaged Tony about adjacent thing as well. Not a brag, explanation that I didn't just yap, I did things to make SH better, even if those are tiny in the grand scheme of things.

Be my guest, rally SH authors, get support of a lot of people, gather authors and make a collective plea to Tony. Tony is not unreasonable, he will listen if you hit that critical mass. Arguing on a random thread with a mod who has as much power as you over the main site is not productive. Can be fun though, so if that's your goal go ahead.
