Oh my fucking god this sounds absolutely amazing ?? I wanna let you know, that personally, I'm only referring to my experience on webnovel and wattpad so forgive me if I doubt something like this would occur ?
I mean, you'll really have to search through a very stinky septic tank, to find a degenerate who spends their time reviewing paragraphs, just to "Troll", that is literally the most boring and inefficient method to "Troll" someone I could think of.
? Even FFN, averages more nasty comments per chapter than Webnovel or Wattpad. And both websites allow you to do two things FFN can't.
1. Comment multiple times, and
2. add paragraph comments. I mean hey, if you're skeptical of this point, you can go check for yourself, I see no reason to supply you with something that is within arms reach.
?
I have no clue why you would resort to "Testing Paragraph Comments on TwentyTwelve
(TwentyTwleve of ALL PLACES?!?)" instead of either of the two sites mentioned, or any other respectable site known for pumping out good ff or novels?
I can't help but want to reiterate this.. Every site has a different kind of community, and despite webnovel being a toxic cesspool sometimes, it has nothing even remotely like this from what I've seen
? And I have 2000+ read stories and actively read Paragraph comments, So unless Scribblehub, has a community so bad it blows reddit out the water, you can once again, forgive me for being a little doubtful that some 'trolls' or 'haters' with negative opinions that didn't exist beforehand would magically appear
?
And whilst I completely understand your point in regards to "Giving haters and 'Trolls' (As unlikely as trolls are in this case) to bring down an author's motivations" That is literally doing the exact same thing to your own supporters
? Not everyone is going to keep a notepad on the side so they can conveniently jot down any questions, notes, praises, or observations to keep so they can comment at the end of every chapter
?
But hey, I just want to clarify, I'm not trying to say your suspicions or unfounded or anything, I just wanted to let ya know that just the inclusion of paragraph comments alone isn't going to instantly kill your will to write or only have negative impacts upon your story.
Togglable Paragraph comments for both the author or audience would be a nice feature to have. OPTIONS! People options!
