Shrimp eaters don't know the truth, they just eat shrimps.

The limits of a writer's imagination: Can Characters Surpass Their Creators in Intelligence?

Depends on what you're calling smart here. If its just about quick-wittedness, memory, analytical ability, understanding of certain areas of study, etc; its perfectly possible as you can make up for those with planning, internet and maybe an element of vagueness. If it involves one's perception...

    The dreadful middle

You can alternatively estabilish an internal schedule of "release", where you won't be putting the chapter out but will be pretending you have to by X date. I find deadlines to be great motivators. Or you can start drinking.

Your novel gets a fanfiction and it is......

I would make a fanfiction of their fanfiction as retaliation. But real talk tho, my novel has a setting where it'd veeeery easy to make a fanfiction with more mass appeal than the novel itself. It just won't happen because it isn't very popular in the first place.

    S̶w̶o̶r̶d̶&̶S̶o̶r̶c̶e̶r̶y̶ Guns

I use guns in mine, and my in-story explanation is that people who can actually cast magic effectively aren't that common. Lower-tier witches can use magic but have some limitations, so guns are still a effective weapon for them. I also have a concept of magical tools being something more...

Yes, i'd like very much. Here's the first line: As for a professional example, i guess this one is a classic: Another professional example, a classic from brazilian literature (The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas):

    Writing Corty's Tip Jar

Interesting, creating names was something that annoyed me at first. My solution was basically to look through classic literature, history, fairy tales, mythology, etc; and pick a name that can be loosely tied to the character arc i have planned for said character. As a bonus, it also helps my...

Corty's Feedback Corner (Kinda... Read the first post!) --- Open until further notice.

Its fine. Oops, a typo, fixed. Bonnies sounded like she came from some brothel  About that... truth is i'm being vague on purpose here. One world building element i pay attention to is make sure i only let the reader onto information the MC or other key characters know about, or at least...

Corty's Feedback Corner (Kinda... Read the first post!) --- Open until further notice.

Thanks for the feedback. Yep, was thinking i should work on the cover a bit, will probably still use the same image for now and just add a stylized title later. The extra chapters, well, i suppose it can look weird, but that kind became part of my writing style by now so its not really going...

Some feedback would be appreciated, especially the synopsis as i still struggle on how to present the story concisely in a way that sounds interesting enough. On the signature.
