I don't think I actively avoid anything specifically, since dialogue should be true to the character who is speaking...but I sometimes have to (painfully) force myself to use incorrect words that irritate me in real life: fewer/less envy/jealousy who/whom

Long form it could get very difficult to keep that interesting unless you’ve got some interesting twists already up your sleeve. If you do, I can see how it could be interesting. Just be wary that you’re also using a real world medical condition as story fodder. Not saying don’t do it, but...

I avoid any trope that takes itself too seriously or is used as short hand for character backstory/trauma. But I handle them in different ways. Too self-serious: brooding grimdork anti heroes with secret royal bloodlines and cursed weapons carrying the soul of an ancient dragon etc etc etc… I...

I use random name generators. Unless there’s a specific reason for a person to have a certain name I don’t put much thought into it. Sometimes I retcon a meaning if it fits their character but mostly I just assume their parents thought “yeah that’s a nice enough name”.
