With an ongoing note sheet in the background and referencing previous chapters a lot. Feat to number wise, I don’t. I just scale up the power levels and what the characters are capable of after every power up.

There are definitely characters that just don't show up after one point. Makes me wonder if I could have done without them and cut down on the fluff.

I like the second one. It describes the situation from the start instead of jumping right into the action and explaining how things became like this. Just feels more coherent this way.
