Maybe add a disclaimer chapter at the start of the story? I ended up adding a disclaimer at the start of my kinda dark smut novels, partially because I wondered about people reading tags, but also because a few things like story tone are hard to entirely encompass in tags. The main factors...

What kind of dead end were you running into? What's a dead end story for you?

    Is this scenario ethically sound?

(Also, notably: the title "Is this scenario ethically sound?" proposes a different question than "whose side are you on?")

    Is this scenario ethically sound?

The answer to "do the ends justify the means" when the ends don't have a real chance of working is always "no".

    Is this scenario ethically sound?

The ethics of this are actually meta-ethics-- is writing this scenario merely entertaining, or does it support RL ethnic cleansing rhetoric, or does it actually oppose RL ethnic cleansing rhetoric in some way? Like, do your research if you're asking if the scenario is ethically sound? Look at...

    Tipping culture

I don't know about other countries and tipping, so this applies only to the USA, but... If tipping is allowed or not is generally decided by the company. Companies usually factor this into employee compensation if tipping is allowed, and can cut way below normal minimum wage for jobs that...

How long should a first chapter be?

It's fine! First chapters being a little long isn't uncommon, I think? I would be careful if you set up the first several chapters being long if you're posting them sequentially, though-- if readers get the expectation for 3k words each chapter from the start, and then you switch back to the...

    SHAMELESS Fanfic?

If you want it on this site: be the change you want to see! But also: Archive Of Our Own (AO3) has a lot of Shameless fanfic.

How do you write like you want to write?

For fiction, if the people in a story keep on dismissing the story they're in, and it's not parody or otherwise done in a comedic manner that builds on itself, I tend to think either the writer doesn't want to write, or is self-conscious about writing. That's the only situation that I can...

    How To Respond to Comments

I'm thinking if I get another one of these, I'll just respond 'TY', to keep it on the same level of acronyms. RepresentingEnvy's method also good though.

    Pizza with pineapple

Ooh... I bet a pineapple juice reduction or a pizza sauce with pineapple juice in it would work really well.

    Pizza with pineapple

Literally my favorite topping... unless you include sauce and cheese as toppings, but I feel like those are just "needs to be there to be a pizza" things.

    How To Respond to Comments

I appreciate the vast majority of comments I get on my story, but I don't really know how to respond to most of them... most of them I'm like "ooh that's a cool thought but I can say almost nothing without spoilers" or "hmm, not my interpretation but I enjoy hearing yours or "ooh yeah exactly my...

So, what's your weekly word count?

My minimum for myself is 2k/day, so 14k/week minimum, but usually closer to 16-7k in practice.

[Poll] What is your relationship with forum signatures?

I saw this post, and then I was like "I should make a forum signature! So then I did. And then I made it as small as possible while still being legible, cause I saw overly large signatures were a concern some people had, also in this thread. I leave other people's forum signatures on, but my...

What tags bring the most traffic to your story?

Valid if so-- there's something really nice about seeing people like you in stories.

What tags bring the most traffic to your story?

Yeah, I added several tags I didn't know existed or didn't think were relevant at the start, but Yandere is the most popular one. Maybe the people who are into Yandere are really crazy for the trope they love.
