Which family drama is more interesting?

Sorry, but I don't think either of them sound interesting. If you twisted my arm, I'd say the first. Do with that as you will.

    Ideas for Future Stories!

The latter is more likely to do numbers on SH/RR, imo. The first one, I think, has more room for character work. If you're just trying to write out your daydreams and get an audience, I think you're better off doing the latter. The former would provide more opportunities to develop your skills.

What's your opinion on the ocean.

Lotta sea haters on here. Salty their ancestors left the ocean, I bet.

What's your opinion on the ocean.

It's the ocean, what's not to love?

Explaining supernatural (or an attempt of doing so, featuring you)

If the supernatural existed, it would be the natural, and some mega corporation would be selling it at Walmart.

Any Good Horror Recs? No Self Promo

If you happen to have a nice bit of forest handy, especially with some fog at night, The Mist by Stephen King is quite spooky. You can find it in Skeleton Crew.

    Ask The Wandering Storyteller #2

GPS coordinates precise enough for a cruise missile... asking for a friend. Sorry, as recompense, I'll ask a real question. What's the longest you ever worked a manual labor job (and what was it, obv)?

    What are SH writers reading?

(Very slowly) A Tale of Two Cities, by Dickens. It's good, great character work. Hard on the poor brain meats though because the English is old and people used to write very differently back then.

    I need your Irrational Fears

Sorry to disappoint, but I was lying for the memes. I'm not actually afraid of clowns, I just thought it would be a funny thing to say.

    I need your Irrational Fears

Unironically one of the symptoms of autism, sorry you had to find out this way (j/k?). I've heard it's a sensory thing. Based construction worker forumite. Thanks for your service :blob_salute:

    I need your Irrational Fears

I have a pretty high startle response, but otherwise not really. I suppose you could consider phone anxiety an irrational fear (i.e. I get nervous when I have to talk to someone I don't know on the phone), if you needed one for whatever dark magic you're up to :blob_hmm:

    I need your Irrational Fears

Sorry for not taking the question seriously. I couldn't resist the urge to... clown around ₍^. .^₎⟆ Tbh, I don't think I even have much in the way of rational fears. Too apathetic.

    I need your Irrational Fears

My fear of clowns is perfectly rational.

    Would you rather…?

Technically scenario two has that same upside, as you can always go homesteading out on some piece of land here in the modern world (if you want). With the skills you gained in your experience, the work to do it today would feel trivial.

    Would you rather…?

Depending on what you mean by hostile, scenario one is almost trivial to survive. The only real downside is you wouldn't come back (and your civilization would technically have a time limit, as there's a big ass meteor on you way that'll have to be dealt with eventually. They wouldn't be...

    Chapters to Post?

I've heard that 50 chapters is basically the minimum for general reader interest, so you might want to wait until you have a huge backlog. That'll also let you fine tune the quality, and won't make it troublesome if you realize you need to make big changes.

    Writing management

Personally, I'm a big fan of Scrivener. I have a file for every story, and each file has a built in binder which is quite handy.
