Writing Which unreliable narrator is funnier?

Hey! What are you doing stealing my thoughts! (j/k)

3rd Person POV and 1st person POVs, does it benefit to have both?

Ah, you're doing it Truman show style. If I were writing something like that (for whatever that's worth), I think I'd do the MC in first person, and the "camera" entirely through the logs or notes (with an introduction from "Mr. Camera" or a header like a research paper). The logs can...

3rd Person POV and 1st person POVs, does it benefit to have both?

What information can you put in first person you can't put in third? You're allowed to describe someone's internal state in third person, you know.

3rd Person POV and 1st person POVs, does it benefit to have both?

There isn't really anything you can do from a first person perspective you can't do from third, at least in terms of information content. You're allowed to do third person limited from one perspective, and then next chapter from another. That's probably the standard, even. If you're trying to...

Writing Which unreliable narrator is funnier?

I feel like Chunibyo is probably the easiest to make funny, but a narcisist has the higher "skill cieling" for humor because they can be very annoying if done wrong, but hilarious if done right.

Multiple people saying the same thing at once: thoughts about double-double quotes?

If you really want to get "this is a crowd speaking" front and center in the readers mind, you can put the action of the group ahead of what they're saying. e.g. "The four look at me as one and yelled, 'Right.'"

What are your views about a story based on Indian Mythology in a modern setting?

Why not write the story in your native language? Assuming it's hindi, they'll probably appreciate it way more than a bunch of English speakers.

Should we reveal infrequent POV shifts?

I'm sure there are some contrived circumstances where sneaking a POV change past the reader is appropriate, but if you're writing for this site I strongly recommend not fishing for them.

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

I wasn't trolling, I really didn't think explaining my point to Alice would be worth my time. I probably should have ignored every further response though, to be fair. I don't think she's retarded, or even unusual in her habits, character, or attitude, I'm simply old enough to recognize when...

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

The rest of your response was frankly not worth the bits it is encoded in, but in the minuscule chance this was a genuine request, it's simple (in concept, hard in execution). You choose to value another person's interests the same as your own. The feelings might follow (a happy little reward...

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

At no point have I indicated that I felt a conversation with you was a worthwhile endeavor, so I'm not sure why you expected me to make an argument. If you'd like, I could explain why. I made a statement, "love isn't a feeling, it's an act, a thing you chose to do," and your "rebuttal" was on...

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

It's amazing how much work people will put into not understanding something. Did you have a specific purpose in mind when you restated the mainstream view which I've already explicitly said I disagree with? I know that's what people think love is. Those people are in error. Thanks for...

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

I should have put modern in scare quotes, because I'm counting modern as Victorian+ (blame the poets, and mass media). As for what I mean, sorry, but "last I checked, I didn't get to just 'choose' to fall in love with someone" is big, "I want not to understand" energy, so I won't be wasting my...

Are there any sort of tropes or generally common story choices that make perfect sense but you just don't like?

Sounds like a you problem, tbh :blob_evil_two::blob_whistle: And on that subject, I dislike both the modern notion, and the trope, that love is a feeling and not a thing you chose to do.

    What to do all night?

Unless you're in the middle of barsville USA, the middle of the night is about the safest time for going out, so you can always take to walking about. Just be careful crossing the street.

    Reincarnation: Animals!

... I mean, a dragon has to count, via the dinosaur -> dragon pipeline, and a proper dragon has magic, often including of the transformation variety. Thus, isn't dragon just the objectively correct choice? Failing that, humans are animals, ever the reliable choice.

    If you had superpowers.......

Everyone fancies they'd be something great and magnificent "if only" but most everyone is kind of a loser in spite of already having a great number of abilities. From this we can logically infer that I'd use superpowers to continue being me, for better or worse.

    Family Drama (advice)

The perils of not being the squeaky wheel, lol. It's good, though, it means you're squared away. As for the topic at hand, unfortunately, being screwed up is one of those things a person has to solve for themselves, there's very little to be done externally. The best you can do, imo, is just...
