I need your advice on how to show, rather than tell.

Sorry to bother you with my selfish request, but I need your advice, if you have time to procrastinate. https://www.scribblehub.com/read/1042505-hordedoom/chapter/1294952/ skip to " And here goes Mungke " How to properly show that the Purebloods distrust Iron Lord and that he cares about his...

    Misunderstandings

I recommend trying the Usogui manga, but the situations there mostly happen when the author cleverly tricks the reader and the characters make incorrect guesses. Some situations are funny, some scary, but in general the read is awesome.

    Something to Watch pls

Legend of Galactic Heroes (the original). Just to give you an example. This is technically the main antagonist:

I need an outsider's perspective about my writing.

There is much for me to learn then. Oh, well, I have found another way that does not work. I think reading Hemingway as I finish my current story will help me get a better perspective on how to start and write a new one. Thank you for your help!

I need an outsider's perspective about my writing.

Sorry about that. I tried to follow the advice I heard on YouTube about how each character should have their own individual voice and tried to write in a way that would be logical for them. But it seems I went way too far. If it is not too much to ask, can you please tell me if the dialogue...

Got a message from my therapist

Nah, don't worry. Learning a patient through their hobbies (sports) is pretty standard stuff. He is not going to lock you in a nuthouse.

If you had the chance to bring someone back to life, what would you sacrifice?

Yes, but consider the monkey paw possibility. You choose to sacrifice others; the finger curls and voila, your family, friends, and that pizza guy disappear.

Advice that is useless. A collection.

You are not dumb. Your novel is rather popular, from what I can see. Believe in yourself and go have fun.

If you had the chance to bring someone back to life, what would you sacrifice?

My own life, of course. It's not like I am useful. Imagine trading a worthless thing for a talented surgeon or a rescue worker. It's a win-win! Also, if I am sacrificing my life, I can leave proper inheritance for my family, so it is even better.

Advice that is useless. A collection.

Read more. I am reading every day and still suck. The advice should be not to read more, but to read stories in a genre you want to write and examine how the authors build dialogue, plot, worldbuilding, or simply their writing, not mindlessly consume the plot.

Slow Burn or Fast-Paced? Let’s Discuss!

Personally, I prefer a slow burn that expands the world. I want to know why I, as a reader, should care about the setting.

I need an outsider's perspective about my writing.

Good time of day to you all, and sorry to bother you with my selfish request. I need an honest opinion about my current writing. I am aware that my story is a failure, but I am curious to know if my writing has improved in any way, as I myself am somewhat concerned that I have deteriorated as a...

    Reviewing other stories

Thank you for the kind offer. If this is okay, I would like to know why this story is bad: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/1042505/hordedoom/ No need to sugarcoat your words; I am seeking to learn and improve, and knowing why my writing sucks can (maybe), help with that. The prologue is...

Obscure troupe I can’t get enough of.

You mean like in Afro Samurai? The main bad guy named Justice had killed the MC's father and took a magic item away from him. The MC trains, ignoring his father's advice about not pursuing vengeance. The MC causes the death of his teacher and friends, goes around the world, killing people...

How can I learn to recognize why my writing is boring or bad?

None, to be honest. I often enjoy reading a litrpg, but making one myself is just too complicated for me. The most complicated stuff so far I can comfortably handle is from my own story (where a species can become stronger from defeating a stronger opponent, but it works once per person, does...
