Novel end up with suicide. To post or not to post.

Well, at least one piece of classical literature (blanking on it at the moment but read it along with The Yellow Wallpaper, which might have been better if it did end in a suicide) does, it might be fine. Not sure. But this may not be the best place for it either.

The power of cloning, linking minds together and concept of an original body

I think DupliKate and Triplicate Girl/Duo Damsel also could but not sure.

    Average litrpg readers age?

Have not been able to find the titles, but the late James M. Ward never wrote in third person (did approach "true second person" with some of TSR's "Choose Your Own Adventure" books, though) and was in the middle of a series of LitRPG books that involved historical mythology (IIRC he'd sent the...

Ask Stone or Ink for Feedback. (Closeddd)

It is possible (and easy if you're reviewing something that is "mostly good") but not always practical.

Ask Stone or Ink for Feedback. (Closeddd)

Better to just be HONEST, whether it be nice or harsh, IMO (Or follow the "Shadis System" - eight paragraphs. First paragraph lists an initial impression, three things you liked and three you did not; Each of the next six paragraphs explains one of the six points. Concluding paragraph lists...

    Average litrpg readers age?

Why in first person? Most LitRPG I've seen is not (though at least one started out that way and was changed to third person after readers complained!).

Saving the world vs just surviving?

I would seriously consider having them START OUT in Survival Mode. Maybe they never get out of it, and just wind up in a constant struggle. Maybe their explorations lead them to find a way to escape this world (and the moral dilemma of "do we just LEAVE or can we save others... or should we...

Translating Jokes from Japanese — Any Tips?

Maybe not a lot - there were two episodes of either Pokemon or DBZ (I heard the story just at the tail end of COVID, at one of the first conventions to come back after it) that were never fully translated for overseas markets (IIRC bits of both were "married together" with new dialogue and some...

Recommendations Comedy or slice of life recs plz.

I tend to play with both but not focus on either comedy (it's too hard to maintain - and often works best to "season" drama or horror IME) or Slice of Life (like to show the characters' lives, but then have ... stuff ... get in the way). Strange Awakening has about five chapters of "slice of...

Writing Anyone ever think about making their characters say something VERY out-of-pocket but stop yourself from writing it

For most of my characters, those kinds of comments ARE appropriate - though I often have to change things around for WHICH character says them to make them "fit" - a comment seemed cool and fitting but did not quite belong to the person I originally had saying it, so I wind up having to redo...

    Random order for reading lists

I could get behind adding a "shuffle" button to the reading list but not a regular "randomize this" feature.

Ai image dump for my novel.

Not great? Unless the bottom center picture actually shows a small pistol inside the sword handguard - which would be a kind of cool but weird idea - then these are pretty darned good (and if there IS a derringer-level gun in there, that moves it closer to actually great IMO).

Apparently coming up with your own pantheon is hard… who knew?

Their chief god was the sun itself, Tezcatlipoca, the Smoking Mirror - the source of life and the bloodiest of blood soaked gods. His chief rival for control of the pantheon was an outsider (and possibly a real person - a scholar from the one native American tribe with pale hair and gray eyes)...

What are your thoughts on exploitable characters?

Depends on their use (and, even more on their frequency of use). Used well and sparingly, they are great. Used constantly or badly and they will drag an already weak story down below the bottom of the heap.

Translating Jokes from Japanese — Any Tips?

Physical heat or spicy heat? If the former, pizza is a good choice. If the latter, Mexican food or something with Ghost Peppers (which seems to be proliferating lately) would get the point across.
