    Technical Jargon

About a third of the Star Trek novels do this, if you mean "technobabble" and not "actual technical jargon" - especially the "The Next Generation" era books. One of the best for this might be "Relics" - the novelization of the episode where they brought Scotty from the original series into the...

I don't know how to start practicing narration.

"" are Quotation marks. Some countries use apostrophes (','). I set them off in (parenthesis).

As a reader, what does a good synopsis look like?

Restressing this point - I may be unique or in a minority here, but if I see a checklist/unordered list/ordered list of "What To Expect," 19 times out of 20 I will pass on the story, even if I would normally be interested in all of the points listed. First, because this kind of list is usually...

I don't know how to start practicing narration.

Read. A lot. Look for writers who have a narrative voice you can identify with and try to emulate their style for a paragraph or two. Repeat this for several writers over several days, months, even years. You will get a feel for handling narration that way. It takes time and work though, it...

    I'm tired of OP heros

If you're referring to the Golden Age Superman from his first two years in print, or the Man of Steel Superman John Byrne introduced post-Crisis, who really was the "rule" for the character until he died and came back (Death of Superman, Reign of the Superman), you'd have a point but during the...

    I got a better bookcover & I only have 3 chapters left

Collin looks like actor Tom Baker (c) 1970s (when he played Doctor Who, after playing the villain in a Sinbad movie).

What's your reason for not writing LitRPG fiction?

Hmm - what if we write LitRPG non-fiction?

    One sentence ghost stories.

I always thought 'No matter where you go, there you are' was just a cute line, until it started happening, and I always find myself already there, impatiently tapping my foot, waiting for me to catch up...

What's your favorite type of Magic System?

As a writer, I tend to go with soft magic so it is more flexible and in tune with the needs of the character and story at the moment. As a reader, I don't care as long as its consistent. As a gamer, my favorite so far was the system based on Viking runes in one RPG (I think it was called...

how to attract viewers on scribble hub ?

Also .., AI... Use it to assist in translation if you must. Use it to verify/clean grammar Use it freely for your cover art if you have no other/better options. Do NOT: use it to write a post "selling" your work on the site. Use it to write a blurb Use it to comment on other's works. Use it...

As a reader, what does a good synopsis look like?

Tease everything, tell as little as you can but be clear and concise (and as error-free ... and AI free - as possible) ...

That appears to be the preference of the masses these days

how to attract viewers on scribble hub ?

A synopsis that teases more than it says A slutty-looking woman on the cover, ideally anime style (note - this will LOSE you readers if no such character appears in the first ten chapters) Word of mouth Luck Using popular tags (accurately - using them poorly will cost you readers) Adult content...

I'm starting to develop a strange problem with POVs.

Well, when I wasn't working, I was writing about three chapters (between about four stories) a day... When I started working, this dropped to about 3/2 days (two stories), and then I started a second part time job and dropped to 3/2 weeks (between two stories). Most listeners binge 3-5 chapters...

I'm starting to develop a strange problem with POVs.

Second biggest dip is when people notice I'm only averaging a chapter per week... And part of the reason for that is I have yet to find a way to get paid by them (keep running into problems with the banks - not them, just the fact that they're operating out of India and I'm not).

I'm starting to develop a strange problem with POVs.

Hmm - seems to be common. It looks like the biggest dip in listeners in my PocketFM stuff comes when I switch POV characters, so maybe it's not just you.

Mainstream story vs Original story vs Mainstream story with original premise

Whichever one is more fun to read, either due to a sense of humor or pacing, or just great writing. Then whichever one is shorter so I can finish it eventually.

    Will my Fanfic get readers?

Two of the four or five fanfics I tried to read fell into this, one so heavily I had to abandon it (or watch three seasons of Naruto and come back to maybe make sense of it). The author actually apologized (but then kept on going... :D). The ones I liked were all short (except for one that was...

Hello, we like money (Now taking story commissions)

If the only financial transaction is between the person hiring your services and you, then ownership of new characters should be defined at the time of the contract being signed. Ownership of original characters is assumed to be transferred for the duration of the project, and then to be...
