Back in highschool, Berserk was legit my whole life. Completely changed the way I wrote and viewed writing. When Miura died, I was wrecked for at least a couple of weeks. Then after a while, I've just sort of moved on from the manga. But those changes it brought still linger
It's like that Pink Floyd line "All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be"
Have you checked out the band Queen? They're pretty niche and underground. You probably don't know this song, but it's so sick. Yep, that says 6 minutes. Let's just say, I lose myself in the music. Might be too sophisticated for the average pop listener, but it clicked with me. Guess I'm just more in-tune with this more left-field, obscure stuff.
The hardest song I ever learned on guitar (still far from being able to perfectly pull it off). This song is just one sick riff after another, despite it being relatively simple. The bridge with the harmonics honestly opened my third eye, and the final bit with the tapping is like a shot of bullshark testosterone straight to the balls.
The two anime series I've been watching this season have been absolutely delightful: You and I Are Polar Opposites & Ikoku Nikki (I use the Japanese title here because the translated title is some bullshit)
It sure is great being an anime fan when you don't force yourself to senselessly consume seasonal slop and just stick to what you enjoy
