It feels weird almost every time I drink coffee...
instead of being awake, I feel sleepy.
Accepting feedback like a newbie who continues to learn to improve narratives... and write narratives as well as possible like an experienced author who uses all their narrative skill to narrate fiction that is worth reading.
There are two types of fiction: (1) fiction that tells what happens to the characters and (2) fiction that makes the reader feel with the characters.
The first type of fiction simply asks what happens next? (linear storytelling).
The second type of fiction asks how does the scene captivate the reader? (immersive storytelling)
Someone adopt in a cat that was accustomed to eating leftover fish. She cared for the cat well and gave it new nutrition, "cat snacks".
For a whole week, the cat ate the cat snacks.
One day, the snacks ran out, she was forced to give the cat the fish. The cat sniffed the fish for a moment, then...
My fiction was entering the trending niche fiction (not a general trend). Finally...

Paradoxical creatures.
When the author (narrator) disappears from the narrative... leaving only the breathing text, there is no longer any barrier between the reader and the character. So, you can feel the character' breath in your mind.
Just so you know, I wasn't calling you out on humblebragging; that other fella who we responded to had that vibe.

One voluntary review or feedback from someone who truly cares about your fiction is a true trophy. Why?
Because someone sees your work and acknowledges it honestly and sincerely. You are seen as a wordsmith who impresses the reader.
And that's worth more than 1,000 empty compliments or 100 cosmetic reviews.

Wow... I just realized that reactions are interchangeable. If you run out of reactions, you can undo (or borrow) a reaction from a previous answer or comment and then react to another answer or comment.
Does this mean that reactions have a central bank as a custodian of value to prevent inflation? Perhaps reactions are the currency of the SHF.
Show it, don't tell it is a simple writing principle, but it's complicated in practice.
If the narrative is too showy, the pacing may slow. If the narrative is too telling, the reader's emotions can become cold or even numb.
