Ho~? You expected an indepth explanation? But it was I, Negro!

Ah no seriously, wattpad or webnovel styled Paragraph Comments.. main reason people don't like migrating over to scribble-hub despite it's chill community is because of the lack of feedback they get from their audience.. I'm just saying, I think it's a positive investment.

EDIT: Togglable Goddammit! OPTIONS! The People want, no, NEED OPTIONS!

So unless Scribblehub, has a community so bad it blows reddit out the water, you can once again, forgive me for being a little doubtful that some 'trolls' or 'haters' with negative opinions that didn't exist beforehand would magically appear ?
Sad to say. But there are a few authors who were rating bombed and received several hate comments, simply because some rando didn’t like that the story was different from typical isekai harem/controversial. They even make several fake accounts to attack authors and avoid being ignored/banned that way. All this effort just to make the authors feel bad. In the end said authors deleted their stories and left SH.

Webnovel’s toxic people simply make a “that’s trash” review and go parted ways.

Why Ai-chan uses TwentyTwelve instead of Wattpad or Webnovel? Simple.

The front page of scribblehub is made with wordpress. TwentyTwelve is a wordpress theme. You think Tony programmed everything himself? No, he doesn't have the time to do that. He'll just buy a wordpress theme or plugin and modify it.

There is no point using Wattpad or Webnovel as example because the site is not programmed from scratch. And therefore, any feature or appearance would most be limited to what themes or plugins wordpress offers and what he can do with those. Sure he does programme stuff, but if there are existing plugins, it's counterproductive to spend time and money programming and debugging the features when he can just buy it.

I don't want to be rude, but I don't understand how "The site not being programmed from scratch" has any relevance to the topic at hand. I thought we were talking about 'Trolls' and how paragraph comments may negatively impact story's or an author's motivations.

I mean, I suppose that would make sense if you were replying to my earlier discussion with Tiaf about how "Once you edit a paragraph, all paragraph comments are removed" But.. You responded to the wrong thing ?

Anyways, as I was saying, nothing you said in that spiel, seems to have much of anything to do with the community, and how'd we interact on the site as a whole so.. Pretty sure using wattpad or webnovel as an example is still perfectly fine. It's not like many people on either site are even aware of this. Even if they were aware, it wouldn't change anything. ?

The fact that you can say "A few authors" instead of something more along the lines of "I see authors get bombarded with hate all the time" just tells me that scribble-hub still has a great community ?

Hello, why is this here? ?

You asked this:
I have no clue why you would resort to "Testing Paragraph Comments on TwentyTwelve (TwentyTwleve of ALL PLACES?!?)" instead of either of the two sites mentioned, or any other respectable site known for pumping out good ff or novels?
Ai-chan answered. Do not forget what you yourself said.

Ai-chan didn't reply to the rest of your reply because it was clear that you were triggered or angry. Ai-chan has no interest in entertaining that, as to reply further would only cause the discussion to devolve into poo flinging and that is not needed in a feature request section. Next time if you want to suggest something, perhaps consider that your idea may not be the best thing since sliced bread and people may not agree with you. Some people may not agree with even one of your points.

Ai-chan had said what needed to be said, and whatever else you said, Ai-chan regarded as your opinion. The matter was done. Ai-chan respected your opinion and tried to move on. It's your turn to respect our opinion instead of ridiculing us as if our opinion are stupid or funny.

Puffgentle...while I agree that it would be great to have inline comments next to paragraphs, the way your following comments sounded....hmm idk...I'll let you decide. Ofc, as someone once said, it is hard to read the tone of online messages so there's that...

I do think it would be great to have inline comments next to paragraphs. However, the other side do mention some valid points. If you have been on the forum chats long enough (not just counting the date you joined, but looking through and participating in at a lot of threads), you would notice there's a lot of writers that tend to be more sensitive when there is a negative review, comments or 1 stars so for some, they would rather not see so many of those inline comments.

Surprising how some view ScribbleHub as a perfect all great with no trolls around. Its a bit too rosy-tinted imo. Every community platform has its ups and downs, including its share of trolls and stuff. I feel quite a few people who just started using ScribbleHub have said that but that's bc what they are experiencing now is better than before, and ofc, it may be better than some other platforms (webnovel and royalroad heard its not such a great positive community for certain writers). I do remember there was a time where was initially hesitant to join though. Anyhow, moving along. Ai-chan also made a point, if ScribbleHub site was built on Wordpress and you used certain plugins, you may be limited to what those plugins can do and provide. Its easier said than done when we are on the other side of things.

Well yes, you made a point and all, but it still has nothing to do with the matter at hand, no? Isn't the lil issue here: 'what the community will do WITH the added feature', not really any of the specifics about the feature itself? Where is the relevancy, WHERE?!?!

Ai-chan didn't reply to the rest of your reply because it was clear that you were triggered or angry. Ai-chan has no interest in entertaining that

Woah.. Apparently, I was angry? Damn, I didn't even notice ?? I mean, I could understand if someone said I sound "Condescending" but angry or triggered? Off the rip? ?Damn, that's actually new. My humor has never been so far off.. But I'll have you know I actually have alot of fun in a good ol' argument or debate. I'm very passionate ?

Ai-chan respected your opinion and tried to move on. It's your turn to respect our opinion instead of deriding our opinion as stupid or funny.

Damn, that's crazy.. Because.. Forgive me if i'm wrong, but didn't I specifically state that I don't think your suspicions are unfounded? You responded to my suggestion and brought forth your own little 'conjecture', which was that "The inclusion of paragraph comments, would hurt some authors." I AGREED. However, I also disagreed on some points, that is what it means to have a debate ? You were clearly blowing things out of proportion, so I had to come in and clear the air a Lil bit, It was mad unsanitized. ?? I'd say sorry for the joke but it wouldn't be sincere ?

Oh ye, btw, I don't think immediately shutting me down and disregarding my statement because you somehow came to the conclusion that I'm "Angry" is very 'respecting' of my opinion, so a bit hypocritical, but hey, that's just me. ?‍♀️

Hell, at least I had the decency to respond and acknowledge your statement and points despite my apparent 'derision' and ridicule.. You can't even extend that same favor? As da homie Yoda might've said.. Very rude you are. ??

the way your following comments sounded....hmm idk...I'll let you decide. Ofc, as someone once said, it is hard to read the tone of online messages so there's that...

Yeah, despite what it looks like, most of the things I said, especially with the teary puppy eyes were genuine ? The undertone of mockery was definitely intentional tho. Debates are absolutely ZERO fun if there's no barbs thrown in there. ? Still, usually people can atleast SOMEWHAT catch the amusement I -not so subtly- tried to shove in there.

However, the other side do mention some valid points.

They do have some extremely valid points I didn't think about, (besides the obvious one about people trying to correct them or discourage them) the 'pacing' comment brought up by Snusmumriken and DarkeReises was delicious. Kinda embarrassed to not have thought of that considering I have to actively stop myself from checking comments because I don't wanna ruin my own immersion ??

I do debate and have different viewpoints with others but I don't try shoving mockery in just for the sake of it. That is rude.

The most valid point is probably them using Wordpress and what plugin they use is limited to what they can do.

It's pretty insensitive yeppers, but there's no way I can let the opportunity to say these kinds of things fly by. I don't like wearing a filter, so the most I can do is try to make it as light-hearted as possible and improvise like hell ? It works best irl tho ??
