Not even, considering I'm a native speaker and I consider it a more commonplace word, I could think of numerous more obscure words that would be considered archaic and even then to remove them as options is reductive in a language that thrives on adopting terms for usability.Meh, its simple.
The one who think Drapes is archaic are native english speaker.

For we have progress beyond the need for such a word, and any attempt to use such pedantry must be a ruse made to trick us into thinking that the author was more sophisticated than they actually are.
Their lack of locution is no substitute for the prowess of a linguist.
