I've been hittinga slump with this new novel The Great Sphere | Scribble Hub. Can anybody give some feedback?
As a basic rule of thumb we might say:
a) If you have 1000 views of Chapter 1, and 10 views of Chapter 5; then you have a writing issue.
b) If you have 10 views of Chapter 1; then you have an issue with your cover and/or synopsis. There might also be issues with writing quality, but the foremost concern is that people aren't even clicking on the story to begin with.
Looking at your stats, you fall more into column b. Try to make a cover and synopsis that will catch more browsers.
First, I will call @Zinless to move your thread to the feedback section. (Sorry troublesome, dude).
Second, a short question ... Why do you use the Adult genre if it doesn't provide warning trigger? What is the meaning of the adult genre in your fiction?
No, that's not what I meant, dude. The adult genre is usually used for fiction containing sexual content, just a level below the smut genre, NSFW. If you use it incorrectly, your fiction could lead readers to misunderstand the genre and be disappointed. If you want adult-rated content without explicitly discussing sexual scenes, there's a mature genre, which is more flexible. It's an immersive novel that will deal with demons and horror aspects. I didn't put horror because it won't dive deep and the things they'll be fighting against are things they can beat. It shouldn't really scare an adult.
