Original story: fiction whose story elements (worldbuilding, characters, conflicts and plots, and moral values) are completely new, unique, and never before told. Example: LOTR is known as a pioneer of high fantasy fiction.
Mainstream story: mainstream fiction whose story elements re-narrate popular tropes without adding an original twist. Examples: Superhero, villainess, isekai, cultivation, teen romance, etc.
Mainstream story with original premise: mainstream fiction whose story elements use popular tropes, but the premise is completely unique and new, never before told. Example: Death Note (detective, police family, crime, etc) = mainstream tropes + book of death misused by a genius high school student to become a god in a new world (original premise).
