:meowsip: Anynya, you made it all sound quite dramatic, so what exactly the issue here, I wonder?

Usually, pedophilia or anything that relates to children doing R18 stuff is very much frowned upon and not allowed. I do believe trying to skirt around the rules by saying the elementary school kids are 18 (but still calling them children is not allowed)

I refer to @AliceMoonvale comment on having 18+ tag on elementary school children.

I still retain my humor. Thanks.
Ah I see, twitter is here :blob_hmm:

Good thing there's no R18/Erotica material in the novel then, and it got unfairly blacklisted by mods who didn't bother to read beforehand~ :blob_teehee:

Reminds me of a thread on here from years ago on forum ... That aside, I know the site rules, and I know the site is American, which has certain implications. But such is the way.

No hate. Just curious on why you would write that very specific sentence
(All characters are depicted as 18 or older, even if stated otherwise.)
that indicates pedophilia.

It's like trying to say "I did not murder him because he died 24 hours and in a different place after I stabbed him."

My only recommendations are to remove any writings of the children characters getting into potential&actual R18 acts (The R18 workaround won't work since you refer to them as children throughout) and then inform the mods of the changes.

I wish you well on your writing journey ahead.

Since I've been tagged, I'll just say that the synopsis is indeed very inconsistent and unnecessary with questionable implications due to the 18+ disclaimer. But I wouldn't go as far to outright call it child abuse material since nothing I've seen up to chapter 4 depicts anything of that nature.

That being said, posting a picture of the island enjoyer even as a joke is pretty distasteful.

If the story took place in a high school or other school like maybe college, a setting appropriate for 18+ year olds, it'd be just a regular, strange story at best in my opinion.

"That indicates pedophilia" Is a WILD jump to make from that disclaimer. There is no outright fanservice or sex scenes, there is descriptions of child mutilation, death and a few sexual humor moments. Again, since you really seem to have difficulty understanding a key point, there is no erotica/R18 material within the novel itself. That is just a conclusion you made because you only skimmed through the sypnosis rather than the novel itself. 🙃

Yeah Epstein Diddy Blud jokes are really a thing you should keep for xitter and tiktok 😅 I respect people who have a stronger/strange moral compass, but just know I do not respect fictional characters as if they were a real person.

I don't comment on works I haven't even read based solely on synopses and tags. But I once encountered an even more terrifying work:

It's too bad. A author disguised pedophilic content in a mainstream work with friendly tags.

At the beginning of the chapter, everything was fine. But everything changed at the end, leading to a nightmare. The author narrated the pedophilic scene explicitly.

Readers were shocked. They were angry that the author had deceived them.

But the author casually said, "It was normal in my environment. Why are you angry?"

This author is truly insane. The latest update seems like the work has been banned.

I never thought such a crime could happen. I was shocked.

I'm sorry. I admit my fault on the insensitivity and would like to apologize.

I was trying to bring the mood up on the heavy topics we are discussing.

I'll be more careful next time.

Island enjoyer? What's that? :blob_cookie:
I feel so confused today. Am I really that old? :sweating_profusely:

He is a well know pedophile that has appeared many years on American social media.
I have learned to be cautious whenever the topic of children and R18 come out. Therefore, I also am extremely defensive when these two items appear together.

No matter the circumstances.

1. I am but an opinion on the internet, my reaction may be similar to what other might go through when reading the novel synopsis and warnings.
2. I am only writing what I immediately feel when I see on the first page. I am also not willing to read anything written once the (potential) of pedophilia is given on the front page.
3. I will never scold a fellow author, but I only give caution or reasoning. I put the shadow-ban and children-r18 facts together and came to the conclusion something was amiss.

Since you are awaiting clarification on the de-listing and have emphasized to us the readers on your new information.

I would prefer you a-wait any new info from moderators and indicate the closure of the thread.

Glad to know, be sure to keep those memes on twitter and tiktok then and not as a joke when your story is being discussed due to sensitive themes. I appreciate it~ but sorry to hear you don't respect fictional characters, that usually puts a damper on writing especially if they're you're own. Wish you luck.
Ah, I gather the meme with the old man shows Epstein then (I have a form of face blindness and I haven't actually looked at enough pictures to get a "feel" for this person; I only know the stories - it could have been Bill Gates flying, for all I know). But that was someone else who posted the meme, OP just answered. :blob_cookie:

Yeah, I didn't see the quote of who posted it and deleted my post as I'm busy, but probably shouldn't discuss problematic figures much like politics anyway.

It's fine, it's fine, I know how serious people take cartoons these days and unironically believe authors do and believe in everything they write or draw about. Trust me, you are not the first to get a bit chuffed about the plot and characters of NeaNight.

As a fellow opinion on the internet, I don't like censorship and bible thumping very much so I write rawly what I want to write but still leave disclaimers to make sure people who read are aware they may get upset if they take things to heart. In the end it's just word on a screen that describe upsetting imaginary tales.

I'll stop here. I have to continue my online meme journey.

Good luck on your way forward as an author!

I don't either, which is why I stayed, to understand what this was even about. :blob_cookie:
Still, confusion the maximum.
uhhh it's a bit off-topic but you can definitly find many documentaries, both like from actual documentary sites and youtube, that describe the whole Epstein thing at this point.

Just be warned the things you will hear will be very awful to think about afterwards :/

I know a few stories, but little about the man himself; just the whole thing around him.
Since I have neither the ability to judge nor execute any laws, I'm mostly fine not knowing all the details. :blob_cookie:
