You don't and can't really fix people. If you've ever genuinely had that thought, that's narcissism on your end. Maybe you'd need fixing then.

There is no situation in which I would fix another person. Either the problems would be too annoying to keep knowing the person or their problem is part of the reason I like the person in the first place.

A broad, open-ended hypothetical question.

At what point is a significant other too far off the deep end that they can't be 'fixed'?

What can or can't be fixed?

What if your significant other is sad or depressed or going through other issues?

What if they are going through substance abuse / addiction?

What if there is nobody else who would bother to try 'fixing' them?
I tried to fix a mentally ill crackhead woman but I failed but it was one of my most joyful moments in life having power over someone like that

It takes more than one person to fix someone. It takes a village to raise a child, and someone with a broken inner child needs a village to heal. If your partner won't talk to your friends or see a therapist, don't bother.

at most my fixing would be more of a personal domestication where they don't mess up my space but still are committing mayhem elsewhere cus I think it's funny

I had a relationship where my significant other got chopped apart into many small pieces. I was like "I can fix it! Yes I can.". So I got out the super glue and put it back together. So I actually did it. I fixed it. :s_smile:
