    How Does it Feel?

People liking and talking about your characters the way they do any other published work or medium is one of the best feelings in the world.

    Just Leave (A Comment) Fest Apr 19 - 21

I've been much better about it here (my poor AO3 To Comment list...), but whenever I see "0 Comments" on a chapter I get sad. Lol. The more active commenters, the better! :blob_highfive:

    Just Leave (A Comment) Fest Apr 19 - 21

Just Leave (A Comment) Fest approaches!* The goal? Go comment on a story. That's it. Easy peasy. Lol. Long essays or single emoji. All comments are great. They even have an FAQ. The inspiration for the event was to encourage people to leave more comments on fanfiction, but I'm sure the...

When do you start reading a novel?

One chapter. Usually I can tell if I want to keep reading by that point. On a Serial fiction site, initial momentum is important so giving new stories a chance is generally good. XD

Which pov is better first person pov or Third person Pov

It helps you've written over 6 million words. Being that prolific is certainly another way to get better at the craft. So nice work! XD

What do you think about multiple main lead stories?

Deuteragonists can be fun additions to stories, especially if they help develop their counterpart. But yes, as other people mentioned, it can get tedious reading the same event again and again. So keep the story moving as you change POV. :D

    How To Fight Inactivity Block

Get a notebook and write by hand. It's so much slower than typing, but it does really help the creativity and making you slow down to think about what you're writing. Often it can help get words moving when they wouldn't before and you're staring at a blinking curser.

Writing Where else can you publicly post your novels?

It's called "Shattered Throne" (inside site thing), and if it goes live, it'll be in early 2025. You can't join the site any longer, but you can still read books there. They have strict Copyright policies, and the successor site will likely hold the same. It might be a while for that site to...

Writing Where else can you publicly post your novels?

The only other site I've liked for original writing is Belletristica, but it's closing in December. However, there is a successor project in the works that I'm watching closely. We should be able to transfer all our works. All fingers crossed for their success. I've looked at Honeyfeed but...

    Can you 1v1 a wolf

I get this is half a joke, but I've seen how big wolves are and I don't think anyone is 1v1 fighting a wolf with bare hands. Lol.

OK, who do I bribe or what do I have to do to get my new Fanfic on Trendings?

This isn't wrong. LOL. My LitRPG story is doing much better than my portal fantasy and episodic humor story. (None are trending, but point remains. Lol.)

Need Recommendations for Activities That Relieve Stress

Needle felting. You jab wool with a barbed needle over and over. It is very satisfying. Lol. Any yarn craft. Knitting, Crochet, etc. I heard diamond painting is nice, but never tried it.

    Formatting problem. Please Help.

Block text is typically easier to read on mobile formats. The starting paragraph indent is more for print or an ebook. So the block is correct in this case.

Which pov is better first person pov or Third person Pov

Neither is better. I think 1st person is more difficult to write well, but they are both equally valid ways to share a narrative. But generally, I think people should Master Close 3rd before attempting First. It's easier and good practice for limiting a POV. Reading is one of the best ways...

Your favorite line from your current work?

“I’ve been here for ten years,” Lenore said. She exhaled and shook her head with a smile. “Believe it or not, but I used to be—” “An administrative assistant,” a deep, smug voice cut in. “And a bit of a crybaby, right, Lenore? “James.” Lenore turned around to the Knight in black armor standing...

Stance on Harems and what do you think make them bad? Also if you were to write a Harem, how much do you think would be the number limit of members.

It makes all the difference when the MC/Center of the Harem's attention is a likeable person with actual characterization and growth. The "I have no traits bc I'm meant for the reader to self insert" protagonists have their place, but personally I'd rather like the MC as much as his harem does...

Stance on Harems and what do you think make them bad? Also if you were to write a Harem, how much do you think would be the number limit of members.

I used to like Harem series. Tenchi Muyo being a long time favorite. Love Hina and Negima were also good series. I'm a sucker for love triangles, so Harem series tend to be that turned up to 11. I think those series worked best because they had plots outside of the romance, and likeable casts...

Let's settle this Steak Debate with a poll. (Final)

For me? Medium/Medium Rare. But I also know someone who won't touch meat unless it's Well Done and another who loves Blue Rare. It's fun knowing folks at both ends. XD
