Is it okay to add an omake at the end of a chapter

Just don't feel you have to every time, or it'll get to be a pain in the tush, especially if you aim for humor.

    Pirates or Demon Lords

Pirates as pirates are murderous thieves; hateful. Who needs a demon Lord when a greedy ruthless human wanna-be Emperor is thoroughly sufficient as a Big Bad Evil Guy?

I have written myself into a corner

Who likes what kind of music? Will they dare each other to do something outside their comfort zone? What's fun for an alto or tenor to sing? Have any of them been in Choir, school or church?Duets, who with who? Motown classics?

PERFECT TIME TO ADD NEW CHAPTERS

As counterpoint I note that as a reader scanning 4-5 pages of updates to Scribblehub will get everything posted for the last 10-12 hours; it's easy enough I usually just scan backwards until I hit the last chapter I downloaded. So as far as I'm concerned, it isn't when but whether!

    Chapter titles

Do try to put a number in early, especially if your title is long; some tites I follow look identical even in landscape setting. And 'Chap.32' is better than 'Chapter Thirty-two'

    S̶w̶o̶r̶d̶&̶S̶o̶r̶c̶e̶r̶y̶ Guns

If you create a magical shield against 'high-velocity', all guns are useless until the shield fails Or a shield vs. 'x metal', with greater cost if y & z are also denied. Gunners would need rounds with everything -- lead, copper, tungsten, iron, silver, gold(!!), bone, tin, zinc, wood, rock...

1 billion dollars for sticking out your gyatt or you'll get a 12 inch stick in your gyatt, if you don't.

Given only the binary choice, the first -- you didn't say whether said 'stick' was debarked, sanded, or smooth or jagged business end! Getting ripped up there would be hideously unpleasant...

    Hello, hello!

My understanding is that the first words over a telephone were" Come here Watson, I need you." (Alexander Bell has just spilled battery acid on himself).

You come across a woman dancing on the street

"You're quite good at that, and it's a healthy way to get warm, but considering the black ice under that snow, you'll have to dig for your knife if you can find it at all!"

If someone in your family is dying, go to them immediately, don't do anything else -- they may well go into a coma before their death & you'll lose your chance for goodbye. Happened with my grandfather.

    Are You Dark Mode User?

I read in light mode when I 'm plugged in, but download in dark mode to use less battery life when I read it-- plus I'm usually reading it at night. I do download the current chapter of a series in light mode, so I can easily spot it & then go into Downloads to erase it. Probably irritating both...
