Just a little request if you can.Tony.

You can already put links in chapters, and there are already many music-streaming services out there on the online, so this basically already exists. But yes many people will choose not to click your music links. You will have to live with that lmao

What was your oldest story nya

The first first story I ever wrote was some writing prompt in third grade, which was probably intended to be horror-ish, but I chose to reinterpret it with a Jigglypuff crawling out of a piano. After that, the first story I wrote as a full-on project was probably that Ocarina of Time...

Please answer the question. "How do you cook instant noodles?"

    They're better dry. (+90 HP)

When did you join scribble nya

Joined in 2019 to follow some stories from some people I already knew. Only got into the general socializing part of the site a week ish ago when I started posting my own story.

    Free First Chapter Feedback

I did establish that there was a plexiglass front wall to the cell (had to re-check that cause I wasn't sure ?) and while I didn't explicitly state it, I did intend for readers to infer that the "very nearby crash" was that wall being shattered. Do you think it needs to be made clearer? As for...

Please give a feedback on my synopsis.

It's... decent. It could use a lot of grammar clean-up (Ai-Chan made a good start above), but it does describe a story, and the story it describes is potentially interesting. Its main issue is being incredibly vague. Why do we care about "a certain country"? What do the dungeon masters signify...

    Family reading your stories

Some days I wonder how much my family actually knows about me lmao but I'm pretty sure they know on some level that I write. Dunno whether they read any of it.

    Does chapter size matter?

There's a study out there somewhere, which I keep citing for years even though I've never found it again, that suggests that, on average, readers can get through 3-4k words in a sitting. (An average reader having an average sitting of an average work... obviously there's some room for variance...

How can i interact with my readers

Simplest way to do it is just to respond to comments. Readers get the same dopamine rush when an author responds to their comment as authors do when they get the comment. Discord servers are also an option if you feel like going further.

... When you said "ginger", you were referring to redheaded people, right?

How to add images into your chapter

There are lots of image hosts on the internet, not just those two. Heck, at the bottom of this very page, there's an "attach files" button. You could upload your images to the forum as makeshift hosting. In principle, anyway. Not clear if the mods would be okay with you doing that.

    Everybody's a DPS

Hi, I play XIV (critically acclaimed, free trial, level 60, award winning expansion pack Heavensward, you know the meme), allow me to infodump on you lmao Buffs are a thing in XIV, but their cooldown is usually longer than their duration, so they form your "burst phase" - when you use all your...

How many glossary entries are you allowed to have?

Tags are a different thing from glossary entries. From the trending stories, you can see an example here - though it doesn't look like that author is putting much work into their glossary. (Then again, the other 6 trending stories on my front page had nothing, so uh. This is what we've got...

Tips For New Writers Keeping A Schedule.

Yeah... back when I got diagnosed with autism, the common understanding was that you couldn't also have ADHD. Don't really understand why they thought that lmao but there you go. Honestly, back then it probably was more important for me to understand that I'm autistic than the ADHD part. But...

    Free First Chapter Feedback

Just posted the first chapter of my series, so uh yes I would appreciate some feedbacks please. (There's a prologue too; not entirely sure whether your "not the prologue" comment means you plan to skip that or just that you don't read stories consisting solely of prologues or what, but either...

Tips For New Writers Keeping A Schedule.

... Oh yeah, this. I actually tried getting on meds once and they said "I diagnose you with autism" instead. I already knew I was autistic. My problem is that I also have ADHD and my brain goes brr all the time in a not good way. Sigh. Maybe I'll try again later.

What does it mean to be an adult?

I am... substantially above the age of legal adulthood, but I feel much the same now as I did when I was 15. Oh, I've got a different gender now, and I'm living with my girlfriend instead of my parents, and I'm paying my own bills, and... uh... ... ... listen I said I felt the same, not that...

    Welcome thread for the newbies!

hOI! You can call me Sylvi, or Tempest, or Sylvi Tempest, though none of those are my legal name (yet). My interests include video games, cats, and of course writing. I don't really comprehend genres lmao so instead I just look around at random and pick up anything that catches my eye. I did...

    Username and Avatar

Username: Flap flap meow. I think of my true soul self or whatever as a catgirl with wings, so a bunch of years ago I picked an internet handle that reflected that and I've stuck with it ever since. Avatar: A cool Picrew. I don't change my avatar often, but this one got me to change from my...

Tips For New Writers Keeping A Schedule.

I have no ability to write on a schedule, so my only hope for posting on a schedule is: 1. Write an entire "chunk" of the story in advance 2. Post the chapters in that "chunk" on a schedule 3. Don't post anything more until the next "chunk" is ready. If you pick the boundaries of your chunk...
