Feels like it might be bad to need to skip chapter 1. Sorry I might be embarrassing myself with lack of understanding but, maybe rewrite or reslot one so you can hook people then give a note at the end of the chapter about how to read?

The synopsis was mildly interesting, although you might want edit the obvious chat gpt parts. I liked the mysterious taxi driver. But in the end it sounds like just another generic iseki (sp?) story. I can't slog my way through another one of those. Sry bud. I wish you luck.
