On naming the main character/point of view characters

Or to run with it if they do and you can make use of it... :D (Never thought of checking on Google for some of mine... but then a few were created in the hopes of selling the story to Pocket FM, just to see how badly the AI readers mangle them... :D)

    DnD-where to do it?

Are you looking to play the latest version of the rules or just ANY version? Roll20.net is a good place to find some games, and the message boards on the Wizards of the Coast website. If you have any local game stores, there might be a bulletin board of games looking for players - or even ones...

what did you wish for on your birthdays?

Mine is next week my wife's was last week. Don't remember any of the birthday wishes I've made in the past. But then I've always felt only two things can really go wrong on a birthday: 1) Nobody remembers. 2) EVERYBODY remembers.

I Was Going to Read One of my GOAT Sailus' Novels...

Better than "Sail Us Gerbil" I guess.

Attention writers and storytellers! (it's me again)

That is a horrible idea. I'm wordy enough as it is - a computer copying my style would write the freakin' encyclopedia. Per chapter.

On naming the main character/point of view characters

The first few times I ran into versions of my name in a story, it seemed a little awkward - but not as awkward as opening the newspaper to the comic strip section and seeing my full name in Peanuts, so I got over it fast. As for naming characters... if they're in the real world, they get mostly...

Anything that has feet, inches and miles. Should I change to meters and cm?

If you expect your audience to be mostly North American, stick to Feet and Miles and the old English system of measurements. If you expect an international audience, either switch to Metric or just be consistent, regardless.

    Story Summary Length

Unless the story starts before the Overlay, or whatever it is called, I don't think you need to mention the goddess Hellen at all - just start with "William was just a child when the RPG video game Terra Morte overlapped the real world, turning it into a dangerous place filled with monsters and...

    If your toilet was sentient

Neither. It would call its agent and look for a job with Skibidi Toilet, of course.

    I need help with doppelganger

The first such story I've seen was by Edgar Allan Poe, William Wilson. Sadly, I loaned my copy of "The Collected Works" to a friend and was only halfway through this one at the time; he needed it for a book report and never returned it. "The Fall of the House of Usher" (another of Poe's...

    reusing characters

Hope it is OK... about half the stuff I write takes place in a shared universe so the characters will run into each other every once in a while, thus "being reused"

    Character Draft: Heroine, Version 1

You could either have this be a background thing - they were split in the past and somehow have to be merged (like the Star Trek episode with Kirk and the Transporter accident) to be "healthy"? Or could go the other way and something merged them in the past; right now they take (reluctant)...

    Need Ideas For Character Draft

Looks like she might have a bit of a steampunk obsession from her clothes, despite not having the stereotype hardware - maybe she has a fascination with the aesthetic but hates machinery? Perhaps because she has vague memories of the cloning vats and that triggers her "retreat" into her villain...

What's your main character's biggest flaw?

Jack Diamond is a moderate smoker who takes almost nothing seriously, partly as a defense mechanism and partly because he is just a good-natured jerk at heart. Mostly the "jerk" part... :D Kelly Pierce has only seen hints of her greatest weakness but is also not ... quite herself. Or not...
