    IAFADJAGTIAFR?! TROML Blurb

If the story reads like the first one, it's "what if someone took the old Claymation Christmas specials and used modern CGI effects to dial them to 11"... :D

You could try using a personal recorder. Most phones have this ability. Just talk into it instead of taking notes.

Is this the right way to start a new novel.

Sounds a little like the direction Land of Laughs would have gone if it had a sequel (perhaps mercifully, it did not). One of the coolest concepts for a novel I've seen - a promising writer is given a chance to write in the home of his personal hero, with an annual stipend, as long as he...

Debate: Argue What's The Best Conflict For Romance

The best is "whichever one(s) the writer can resolve without feeling too contrived"

What You Need to Learn about Plot Structure

Interesting - you list a bunch of stuff that SHOULD BE obvious but is not, and actually explain why it should be but isn't... I would say the problem is more that those who teach theory (of anything, IME), prefer to use specialized jargon than plain terms to make it easier for the student to...

I Was Reborn as a Duck in the Runequest World (Runequest is a Fantasy Role-Playing Game set in a fantastical Bronze Age - centuries earlier than the typical RPG ... and one of the first supplements actually had rules for Ducks as PCs. Have never seen said rules, but know people who have PLAYED...

What kind of protagonists do you love the most, and why?

Ones with a sense of humor. An inappropriate sense of humor occasionally reined in may be best, but really just a sense of humor.

I'm looking for zombie progression female MC

The only example I can think of is the Resident Evil movie franchise, though there was a story I accidentally started listening to on PocketFM that seemed to head this way (but then, for some reason, kept jumping to chapters from a very different story and then back to a much later chapter in it...

How many readers are actually diving in the forums?

2/3 Author 1/3 reader here. Probably 3/4 Author, 1/4 reader on Royal Road, and 10% reader on HoneyFeed, 20% Author on Substack.

    Editing Writing Trouble...

That sounds like a variation of Attention Deficit Disorder. My only way to fight it is to have several projects going at once. Usually write about three chapters before going back and proofing any (and often wind up rereading a lot more than intended every time I do go back).

    I Promise It's Not Writer's Block

The first gender bender story I read was a body horror one, a short story that started near the end of the cycle, with a man picking up a woman in a bar and the next morning waking up AS the woman. Wish I could remember the name or author, but it was in an anthology I read back when I tended to...

Can you write smart characters even if you arent one?

The problem is not writing a smart character - it is convincing the READER that the character is as smart as you claim. And, IME, it is much easier to create a convincing smart character (because he or she has knowledge most others do not, as they can directly access the author's brain) than a...

How do I fight the powerful demon named Procrastination?

You don't. You write something else instead, just to show that procrastination demon that you can do a better job procrastinating while being productive...

What is Correct way of Showing and Telling?

The real trick - and one many of us fail at - is finding a balance between showing and telling. Sometimes it just takes too many words to show and telling is the best or only option. Sometimes you MUST show and telling will just get between you and the reader's experience. It is a fine line...

Characters that never play by other people's rule

Sounds like you are writing the adventures of a typical RPG adventuring party (especially Cyberpunk adventuring companies)... Also sounds kind of like a modernized take on pulp novels/film noirs.

Putting a link in your signature lines or posts (or both) can help (there's instructions in the tutorial in the Scribblehub General area or you can trial and error it like I did - not recommended, by the way). Also having a good selection of "Tags" - especially "popular" ones - and actually...
