    Getting too complicated?

A common malady in writing superhero material; I think it may be called "Chris Claremont Syndrome" (the first time he left Marvel's X-Men titles, a group of fans went through his work from Giant X-Men #1 around 1980 to his departure in, IIRC, 1996 and counted one hundred and seventeen plot...

    Four Ages

That is (or, in the 80s was) one of the prevailing theories but most scholars were not 100% sure and many leaned towards him being a boar or pig of some sort. Sleipnir was the child of Loki and a giant, nasty Mustang who terrorized and almost prevented the construction of the city of Asgard...

How did you improve your descriptive writing?

I try to experiment with different voices myself. Some of the first person stuff "feels" very different, at least to me, than the third person stuff, and other first person stories of mine.

More short chapters or fewer long ones?

Whatever you need to tell the story. I've seen published novels with a single, short, sentence for a chapter (Peter David's Howling Mad has a chapter that is only "It seemed the polite thing to do."), and others where a scene was broken up and still took about 5k per installment to cover. I do...

Webnovel Feedback Roasts For the Fearless

I know the ADHD part (it's why I have somewhere between eight and ten stories, plus at least two RPG scenarios, in process at the moment and usually have about seven projects at any time regardless), but (probably) don't have Asperger's (my wife claims I'm not "smart enough" to have it; my mom...

    Four Ages

Nah, Tutenstein is either a game or cartoon that I've seen about three minutes of. According to the last reference book I read on it, there is much debate as to whether the head of Set/Seth/Sutekh is a boar, an ardvaark (yes, really), a jackal or some other kind of dog, but a bird (Thoth, Horus...

    What'd you get for Christmas?

Mostly gift cards and some food items. But I didn't have much money or opportunity to shop (never realized how limiting it is being unable to drive before - license temporarily suspended due to health scare back in August; should have it back before the end of February) and the biggest gift I...

    Story here vs Royal

An internet troll or a D&D-type troll where they''ll eventually grow back? Either way, it may have felt a bit personal for some of them, I guess...

    Webnovel Reader Age?

My wife does not like reading them but loves listening to then as audionovels, and is considerably older than 20 (heck, she's older than me and I haven't seen my 20s in more than two decades). She's mostly into some Cultivation stories, some traditional high fantasy stuff, the "Talon Cycle" (My...

A situation is forced upon you where you have to save christmas

Ah, in that case, I probably AM the dark force so Christmas will have to win me over, like it did my mentor The Grinch and save itself...

A situation is forced upon you where you have to save christmas

Save Christmas in what way? Rescue Santa? Go back in time and make sure the manger is clean and the Wise Men don't get lost? Convince a Scrooge or Grinch of the "error of their ways"?

I've come up with a sport for one of my WIP stories. What are your thoughts?

Sounds better thought out than Quidditch. Kind of reminds me of some of the trials from Piers Anthony's Proton/Phase series. Sounds flexible enough for you to waffle and have the outcome needed, but well enough planned out that you probably won't have to.

    Heroes and Bad Heroes

So, basically, a street level Silver Surfer without the surfboard? Oh, except with Rincewind's magic ability from Diskworld? So pretty much Monster Girl from Invincible? That's a cool one. Have seen some similar ideas but nothing quite like this I used to play a character kind of like that...

Hi I'm new and I have some questions about how Scribble Hub Works.

There is a tutorial about the site that goes into this a bit. Anyone who loads a page of your book is considered a reader unless they later remove it from their reading list as far as I can tell (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong), while views refers to anyone who viewed the chapter...
