The Marvels had a major problem in that silly "Disney World' scene where everyone communicates through song and dance alone... Kind of cute but mostly just DUMB (especially when a bilingual character turns up)... Maybe that is NEGATIVE resonance?

I think they may be more of a throwback to the tradition the pulps came out of, the tradition that gave us Dickens, and the various serialized novels of the late 1800s. I see more in common there than with the pulps - though a lot of pulp themes resurface in webnovels

Tried using Wix for the Modern Doll website back after there was a rights issue (long, LONG story - and a pretty boring one), but had one of the doll artists put together something on her own site that worked better than what I was putting together so I'm no longer their webmaster... It does...

If I had access to a free server, you can bet I'd have my own site, but I'd have to be making money from my writing to be able to afford a site. Heck, I used to have a fairly elaborate (but unpolished) site back when AOL had server space for one (site vanished from even the Web Archive service...

It is a cash grab, regardless - but if it's good, nobody minds. If it's not, it was a clear publicity stunt... :s_tongue:

It's possible the author stopped posting for a reason, like they're negotiating a print contract or have an exclusive agreement pending somewhere, an agreement that your actions may jeopardize.

But isn't this technically a manwha not a manga? I wonder if any of the k-dramas my wife used to watch before she decided she prefers to watch Youtube and Instagram on her tablet instead of TV shows on a television used Blackpink music?

Or - the Evil Dictator was her father, but he died while she was off training and now the baby brother that she never knew she had has taken over for him...

Sometimes those are mutually contradictory... Best use of this that I've seen was in an old video game, Sam and Max Hit the Road. The two characters wind up at a wishing well, and Sam tosses in a coin and says, "I wish I knew what Max was thinking." and Max thinks "..." "......" "........."...

You ever read the original comic book series The Tick? Ben Edlund created a company that hires out a supervillain (the same "brick" with different themed costumes - Whirling Dervish, The Red Scare, etc.) to help superheroes make their debut (and Running Guy - who is "as fast as ten fast men!"...
