Unexpected difficulty writing a multiverse scene

Ah yes, the old Doctor Who standby - "We don't have time for that now, I'll explain it later..." (was very pleased to see a Companion get to use that one on The Doctor once)

    College writers and studies.

Don't worry - it gets worse once you're out in the "real" world working one (or more) job(s)...

Unexpected difficulty writing a multiverse scene

Wait - how did he teleport to a different world; has he always had this ability, or did something else cause it? If the latter, he can probably just explain any new powers as "remnants of the power that shunted me to Universe X" If the former, he has to explain why he DIDN'T use his powers...

Writing Prompt Your D&D group wake up as their characters

Huh. None of us played a single character long enough for this to work... Well, maybe our HackMaster group (though most of us went through at least two in 11 years, and I think I tied with two other players for most lost at five). But a good dungeon master should NEVER be the villain - yes...

Writing How to handle 20 year montage

The invisible first person observer seems like a good idea but isn't always. Even worse is the SECOND person invisible observer (E. R. Eddings kind of did this is The Worm Ouroboros). But for the given case, don't montage it. Have the observer inform the reader that he's only going to focus on...

What's your reason for not writing LitRPG fiction?

I do have one, actually - though it might as well not be, as I wound up writing faster than I could track the character sheet (and then getting a second job and grinding to a near halt)... it also has a system. And is a Western... mostly...but also a bit of cyberpunk, a bit of noir, a bit of...

What's the most creative power or application you've written?

Malcolm used Open Arms because it was the first song they danced to and described their relationship... and was immediately teased with a line very much like what you said... :D In canon, it was a side remark the game developers used to explain how Spell Material Components worked. But players...

    Scammers

"Hey! Sounds cool. Send me a couple of pages, at least one draft and one finished. If I like what I see, you have permission to sell the finished book and give me 50 - no, forty percent of the net. I'll have my lawyer send along a contract as soon as I see those pages, ok?"

getting away from the "not possible" mindset in fantasy(as a writer)

Magic should have an INTERNAL logic - relative forces, manipulating energies, using mathematics, whatever. Beyond that, it can be as wild or as structured as you want (though more structure may end up looking more like Deryni psionics, Chinese Cultivation stories, or Buddhist alchemy)

Write a better ending for Hitler (and thus the other people)

They wanted communists or socialists to rule the world, but did not want RUSSIANS to, so created their own movement, the Democratic National Socialist Party of Germany. And going into more detail would not only potentially derail the thread but also go into possible political discussions so...

How much faster does a mechanical keyboard make you?

Oh wait - I guess it depends on which limb(s) the cybernetic keyboard replaces.

Write a better ending for Hitler (and thus the other people)

Not communists in general - Russian communists in particular. Had an English historian lecture me on this point for the equivalent of two hours over three days on Twitter about a decade ago.

Can We Fix Isekai? (Lost Zoro Story)

The pizza is actually created by a Canadian. And it is even better if you add jalepenos to it. Suiside Squad: Isekai was fun. Not great, but fun. I've seen two pieces of art for the character before this, both of which looked pretty androgenous.

How much faster does a mechanical keyboard make you?

Until you get used to it, it will be a little slower, noticeably so. That should only last a week or two, and then you'll see a very, very slight improvement. Probably about what AmbreaTaddy suggested above.

What motivated you to stop being a reader and write your own fiction?

Nothing. I just have less time for reading (or, sadly, writing) so do less of it but still do both, as should we all.
