    200 - 400 is fine. I'm a firm believer that a major hook should be added in the synopsis, especially if it's coming up in the immediate future. It gives the reader an idea of what to expect in the story, so they'll hopefully stick around up to that part at least.

    A believable villain is one where while they'd certainly bad, we can actually understand where they're coming from. Like wanting to get revenge on a nation for cruelty/injustices they faced. But they revenge they aspire will condemn countless and is MUCH worse than what happened to themselves...

    Don't make everyone have the same opinions as them. Make sure they have their own voice/identity in that regard, or else they'll appear like some marry/garry sue where the world is magically single minded / thinks just like them / believes the protag. is unquestionably correct in their world views.
