What do you look for in a "relatable" main character?

Look,s attitude, their past experiences, the way they speak to others, the way they interact. it's fun living the life I've had so far, because I can pretty much relate to most of the characters in some way - or am reminded of a real person I know. That's what makes me read most.

What is the best advice for beginner authors?

Have patience. Write for yourself first, for your audience later. If posting here, don't get bogged down with views/readers/etc., and all the numbers. Focus your energy on writing better all the time. Study books and manuals if needed. Write what you love, and love writing what you love. Write...

Recommendations Post your books so I can read

Seconded for "The Nightmare Weaver". Why this book isn't a smash hit, doesn't have thousands of readers already, and isn't trending today is beyond me. It's a masterpiece.

    Hide and seek

Just curious, do we have to "hide" in our own house, or can we make it challenging and choose anywhere around the world...? *^^* And if not, can we "shrink" ourselves, or transform ourselves somehow so we can hide anywhere?

    Sleeping during the day?

Ugh, find another job if they're going to play around with you like that. The constant switching is NOT good for your health in the long run.

What genre do you struggle the most to write?

Anything associated with outer space. I lack the lingo, the experience, the terms, the technology. It's just not my thing. I was never a Trekkie or a "member of the Rebellion" sort, so space fantasy, space opera, space adventure, meh, I'll leave that to the experts. ?

What story/series/movie inspired you to write?

None of the above. I started writing after my uncle got sick. I wrote stories for him about a castle, a princess and a magical cat. He used to read stories to me all the time, and I wanted to do something nice for him as his illness got worse.

Do every novel author react to the accident where he deleted his draft chapter with exact emotion like he launched the nuke to his motherland?

All I have to say about this is thank goodness for autosaves and document recovery. *pets Microsoft Word happily* ?

What will you do if an alien invasion really happens?

I don't think we'll ever be invaded unless an alien race has already lived on this planet and has observed us for a very long time, knows our strengths, weaknesses, etc. The idea of an alien race coming out of nowhere only to conquer just doesn't hold up, since these aliens races would likely be...

Do people post short stories here as well? Or is it only long format stories?

Sure, lots of people write short stories here and pass them off as completed books. They get quite a following. People still love bite-sized entertainment.

    Do you write multiple stories?

Easier. If I get bored or running out of ideas with one, I can go to something else.

    I Spy (but it's unfair)

One of those old time analog clocks...?

    I Spy (but it's unfair)

Okayyy, since we're still very much off the mark, one more clue: Clues: red and white, used mostly outdoors but sometimes pops up indoors, and is very common yet many times ignored. If you ignored it, it COULD put your life in danger.
