I'm afraid that I will have to establish a mana pool and regeneration rate for Exal as well as consumption in order to balance things. Something like that was my guess as well. "I don't need to use what I'm best at to beat you, and you don't even deserve to know it."

Throwing the weapon isn't the real issue here. That's fine. But I really don't want to mess up my character's powerlevel, even if I have to make up some weird reason for it or simply pretend that the option of using a ranged weapon doesn't exist.

Well, spears simply are great weapons. The issue with a real ranged weapon like a bow or crossbow in the hands of an AI that calculates everything is the balance of power shattering.

Exal usually uses a spear, and that isn't exactly short! XD

Well, my character almost become infected by the influence of some eldritch horror as well, with a face... let's not talk about the face. Anyway. It was caused by this piece of music: Took me a day or two to restore the character to normal.

Well, golems will only start getting produced at... level 20 upwards, and homunculi at level 45 upwards! So, yeah. Totally safe.

My character isn't a villain! ...I think, I have no idea what's going to happen in the future.
