How do some other authors update multiple novels so often?

By having written millions of words before and being able to go straight to writing mode for an hour.

    Confusion with the trending page

Honestly, trending isn't worth obsessing over. At most, it will give you a couple days of extra exposure, but if your quality isn't up to snuff and you don't update frequently enough then it's just a quick dopamine shot before vanishing like the morning after glow of a one-night stand. You want...

How do you publicise completed books?

Best way would probably be to start another story and subtly reference the other story every now and then. That, or shamelessly plug it wherever you go. Not really much else you can do otherwise than pray it pops up somewhere somehow.

    Does this actually work?

I do this all the time, though modified a bit. Basically, I turn on a song and just write without thinking until the song's over. After that, I look over what I read and if it's good, repeat. Otherwise, I start the song up again and edit as fast as I can. Again, if good, continue writing. If...

Please review my story. Harsh criticism is preferred

Everything. Just kidding. You are missing a lot though. From what I can see, you're suffering from the 'floating heads' syndrome where it's mostly just dialogue going back and forth. That works for scripts and visual novels where you can describe the settings and actions with other things, but...

    Thoughts on editing?

Well, when I edit, I pick a song that's about five minutes and then do a sort of musical chairs session with words where I speed edit as much as I can before the music runs out. Afterwards, I sit and read what I fixed and if I like it, I move onto the next chunk and repeat. That really only...

How do you write action? As in fight scenes.

Easy three step process. 1. Learn to fight. 2. Get into a fight. 3. Profit. On a more serious note, it really helps to observe how fights actually go. It really is best to go experience one, but if you can't then watching and observing action scenes in movies help you get a sense for how the...

What’s the difference between web novel and conventional novel?

Well, a big difference is that most web novels are translations. The style you read in English is based on the skill of the translator and doesn't necessarily reflect the original author. Because of the fact that it's a translation, and because of the difference in languages, we get different...

    Silence or destructive remarks?

This. It also helps since you know what triggers people and then can decide whether or not to double down on it. Also, if enough people flame you, and assuming you've got a decent work, there's going to be at least one person motivated enough to say nice things in response to that. Silence on...

Do you like or dislike fanfics?

Generally, I dislike fanfics because it's low-hanging fruit. Most people who write fanfics are super amateur writers who're basically playing with the setting like toddlers do with action figures and making nonsensical stories or just having cool things happen. In short, a steaming hot mess...

Would a spineless mc be fun to read?

In 4koma format as a gag comic, yes. In an expanded written work, HELL NO. That would get old, really fast.

From scale 1 to 10, how much would you rate my prologue.

5/10. Biggest turnoff for me is the paragraphing and the flipflopping tenses. If you fixed that, it'd be passable. Honestly though it just reads like a run of the mill HP fanfic. It's something that I would probably read if I was bored, but like my tenth choice after checking all my other updates.

Nothing I write ever satisfies me anymore...

Well, if you're writing stuff to read, it's an uphill battle. Someone else brought it up but I'll repeat it and say that your skills in writing won't match up to your idea of good writing for a while. I personally got over that by just adopting a mindset of writing for the trashbin for a while...

    Creating a Visual Novel!

I applaud your patience in both writing out a VN script as well as pulling together all the assets necessary to make one. All I have to say in regards to this are two things: Character expressions are a pain to set up Flowcharts are your best friends if you're making branching paths

Resolved Lewd Poems missing from search results and rankings

Huh. Can confirm that I also can't search for it on my end. I can find your other story though, so not sure what's going on.

    My next goal

20 chapters for sure. If you do that consistently, the other goals follow inevitably. Assuming you have quality goods, of course.

Have some free time to give constructive feedback?

Oh! I didn't even know we could leave comments on the document. I thought it was just read only. In that case, I'll go through in a bit and comment on some stuff. I'll add more throughout the day in my spare time tomorrow.

Have some free time to give constructive feedback?

Glad to help! Fighting scenes... Well, I've found it helpful to just copy fighting scenes that I enjoy reading as practice. If you're not confident in them, just go look around for the ones you think are good and try rewriting them as an exercise. That should help. Right now, you've got the...

Anybody got art of their characters?

If we're talking commissions, then here's some art of the MC and his family in my story Returning Transcendent. If we're talking about actual art that I drew, here's some rough sketches I made for my characters in my first completed story, No One's Story.
