Does anyone else post a chapter and then keep refreshing the page every 2 minutes?

No but i check the comment sections CONSTANTLY. Cuz i love seeing what people think and how they react.

How long should a regular chapter be?

I always go for at least the 2000 mark, but double if I haven't updated in like a week. Note that not all chapters are equal. 2000 for me is fine because my story is fast paced and a bit more bare bones in descriptions normally. But what if the opposite was true? The story might not progress...

    Non-setting focused fantasy story

The curse of long windedness used to plagues me too, brother.

    Non-setting focused fantasy story

So basically you want a story where everything common knowledge to that world doesnt need to be explained at all, with fantasy elements.

Looking for help with my story's description

I skimmed, and if it were me? I would add more personality. Here's roughly how i woulda done it: So. You're walking home, right. Tired, hungry, waiting to munch out on that leftover Chinese you got in the fridge before hitting the hay. Then BOOM. Summoned to another world. No Truck-sama, no big...

    Anime

Bro those were in my top five favorite anime. Sadly the only thing that's improved on anime jas been the art, and sometimes not even that. Very few good anime are coming out recently.

Well if you don't watch the last two I hear you can lie to yourself and imagine everythings fine and everyone's happy or whatever.

    Why do you write?

I write for own enjoyment. Because how many times have we read something and go, "they should've said this" or " done that" or even, "what if that happened" I don't even daydream for myself much. I daydream for what could've happened. And how those events would make the characters feel.

If someone wrote a romance story 'bout two cute traps (male) does it count as BL?

It's boys love. They are traps, not girls. Unless they are girls who look like guys, then it's hetero. No matter how cute they are, if they have a naturally born dick they are male and therefore it's BL. All you are talking about is they seem attracted to feminine charms, I.e the other traps...

I got a 100 on writing a paper arguing how Satan was the true saviour of mankind as he gave Eve knowledge and freedom of choice whilst portraying God as a malevolent being bent on keeping humans ignorant beasts in his golden cage of Eden. I went on to explain the various similarities between...

Quantity vs Quality 2: Electric Boogaloo

Personally I feel my third newest novel and my second work are much more in that middle ground. While I feel my first work is a lot more fun in its chaos, its also more barebones for now. And I think its due to the characters. The second novel is third person, giving me freedom to write more...

Copy-paste a dialogue from your novel!

"Hey man, how do you feel about cat-ears?" The man sneered. "Mutant scum!" "A slow death it is then." A nod And smacked him with my Big D. "FOR THE HORDE!" (That sums up the novel beautifully, I think)

Will You Be Writing In The NaNoWriMo Challenge?

Actually yeah romance novels would be the best choice for that challenge . It's a really simple formula to follow.

Will You Be Writing In The NaNoWriMo Challenge?

Huh. Alright, put that way I guess I can understand. Though I really think they need to lower the word count, at least. 50k is a lot to a new writer.

Cliffhangers! Do You Like 'Em Or Hate 'Em?

I love em. But only if I'm making em. Otherwise they. Are. Hell.

Will You Be Writing In The NaNoWriMo Challenge?

I can write over 5k in an hour if I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. 2k even if I'm winging it. But I'm lazy, take breaks, and find other stuff to do. Were I focused, I could easily get that 50k in half a month either way. But I don't give a damn about doing it cuz things like this...
