It's hard to keep track of all the birthdays going on, so this music recommendation is for everyone who will ever have a birthday. I will not wish anybody happy birthday as a result. When it's your birthday and for whatever reason you want an Indonesian man doing the most tenuous shrimp roleplay to wish you happy birthday, you can refer to this post.
Is this politics? Idk, I think it's been enough years.
This was unironically how I found out about the original Baker Street song. Like, the sax riff would play in my head from time to time, but I had no idea where it was from until I heard this parody.
Could I have recommended the actual song instead? Maybe.
Do you like weird experimental jammy instrumental math rock? Probably not, but I'll recommend a song of that sort anyway.
The drummer is otherworldly. Absurd chops on this track, mixed by none other than the late great Steve Albini. Really strange grooves, especially towards the latter half.
I sure am excited for season 2. I just hope it lives up to the craftsmanship of season 1.
This performance is sick. The music's great, but the details really elevate it, such as:
1. Nijika choking the cymbal in the intro.
2. The dust particles floating around
3. The overall physicality of the performances.
Have you ever had a childhood meal that straight up expanded your brain and gave you inner piece, but you don't remember where you had it, so now you spend your days feeling like there's just something missing in life?
