At least one female is required to be able to perform the magic ritual to create a child. Males are not required. The ritual is performed by either two females, or one female and one male. Two males cannot perform the ritual. It is designed this way to protect the created child from genetic abnormalities. Aushephexiiv cannot reproduce through common means found in nature, because they are all sterile upon birth.
