Never finished this show because I'm a Monogatari loyalist and it felt too reddit, if you could believe that
But I'm a big fan of the OP. Just some nice youth j-rock. Hits all of the right wistful notes, like sunlight through the canopy illuminating the person in front of you in patches as you realize you want to have their babies, or smth
I lowkey don't really mind when anime adaptations differ wildly from the source material. To me, adaptation is just another artform, another creative expression. It should be seen as something on its own, though this isn't to say that an adaptation can't be bad precisely because it strays from the source material
Do you think Sword Art Online (the in-universe video game) had a CERO Z rating? The game does seem to have ultra-realistic sex mechanics. How did these young teen characters get their hands on it?
At first I thought dingoes were just some native Australian canine that somehow ended up there through a land bridge or whatever, but as it turns out, my ancestors just kinda left them there a few thousand years ago. What assholes
Also gotta rewatch Gurren Lagann one of these days. Undoubtedly my favorite anime of all time. Unmatched hype moments and aura, with a surprisingly profound and nuanced message
Anyway, the soundtrack also bangs. This here ending 1 kinda has shades of the Edgerunners opening but with Let's Fighting Love's vocals
plunder is the foundation of the netorare genre, stealing someone's beloved one
what's more plunder has also been part of mankind even way before the dawn of civilization, humans stole from each other before they even learned the concept of possession and ownership
I'm recommending the song specifically with this scene because this is how it should be experienced, with the narrator's voice, the cliffhanger, everything. Insane aura
I wish I could rewatch Hunter x Hunter without investing a month of my life

I feel like no matter how bad of a job someone's doing, I would never want them to be replaced by AI. Even if they commit the worst, most irredeemable sin (butchering my favorite Japanese cartoon's translation)
