O.o Aurora wasn't sure whether she should praise her fluffy friend or not.

Aurora grinned mischievously together with her feline partner in crime. "This makes things much easier, doesn't it, nya?"

^^ "Good cat! Nya!" Aurora patted the wonderful cat. You are a saviour.

Afterward, she picked up and the envelope and started reading. What secrets did the envelope hide?
The letter was filled in with messy handwriting. Clearly whoever wrote it was either very drunk, or very young. The paper was starting to yellow, smelling faintly of flowers, and random animals had been scribbled in the blank spaces. At least, they seemed like drawn animals. But despite the numerous spelling mistakes that had to be cancelled out and rewritten, the writer must have put a lot of heart into it.
How are you doing, Sis?

We celebrated my birthday last week. Papa brought home a deer from the woods, and Mama baked a cake. The neighbors' kids visited and brought lots of wonderful toys. We had a lot of fun. Brad fell into the pond halfway and had to go home. I hope he doesn't catch a cold, though he deserves it if he does. He's not allowed to make fun of Sis' middle name.

Sis, school is really busy, right? Mama said that you won't be able to come home for your own birthday, but Papa said that it's fine since we share the same birthday, so we'll just need to celebrate both of our birthdays at the same time! The chief's son came by as well. He gave me chocolates and told me to share it with you, but the chocolates would probably spoil by the time it reached you, so I ate them all.

Will you be coming home before winter, Sis? Papa said that he has a surprise this year for Weihnachten waiting for you at home. Old Bach has put on more pounds lately, Mama says he's gotten so fat that he doesn't want to go for walks anymore. His pups miss you, Sis. So does Papa and Mama. So do I. Please, Sis?

O.o Aurora found the letter lacking. She added something written in flowery letters. The style of writing clearly differed from the rest of the letter in terms of elegance and calligraphy. Aurora's characters were flowing.

"Your Cute Lil Sis, Elena =^.^= Meow! Weihnachten!"

"Better." O.o Aurora murmured and deposited the letter. It was time to leave together with the rune material.

Aurora patted the cat. "I need to go now. Hope you won't miss me. Bye bye."

Aurora left.

To her credit, Swir remembered that she'd forgotten to lock the door.

Unfortunately for her, that eureka moment only arrived when the girl, still carrying a bundle of materials, tried her door handle and found the door unlocked.

"......"

Still, Swir wasn't all too upset. She didn't have many valuables, and the few pieces she had were on her person at all times. Plus, she'd just gotten a bountiful harvest from the greenhouse, so she wasn't that angry.

Then she spotted the cat first, as well as the empty milk carton, and got slightly irritated.

"...So fast? I really need to mail you away next time."

Grabbing the cat and dropping it on the other side of the window, Swir closed the windows, locked the door, and started checking her other stuff.

"Huh, the damage was lighter than I expected. The intruder didn't really take much...hm?"

It was barely more than a customary glance, but the girl knew her diary had been touched. It wasn't in the exact same spot that she'd left it that morning, and neither was the letter.

"...Okay, calm down, at least it wasn't taken."

Hesitantly, Swir took out the letter and glanced through it. It didn't take her long to spot the addition, and the girl got very quiet.

"WHO THE FU---"

She managed to stifle the roar, and sat on her bed, breathing heavily. The girl was trying her best not to lose her temper.

"...Forget it."

In the end, Swir fell back into sleeping position helplessly, and drifted off.

Alba went through all the books he picked. The sun moved to directly above the building shining through the skylight.

'Ah. It's gonna be lunchtime now. I have to go change my time table after this. Where is Eudes though? Did he already left?'
And so, Eudes was never found again--
Actually, no, he was reading a book about poisons and decided to head towards a corner of the library and began to read it. Forgetting to check the hour-- in any case, once he is done, he will go outside and chill at home. At some point, one book became two, two became three and so on.

"Oh right. Where is Alba? He didn't get lost, did he?"
Now, whether he succeeds in finding him or not was another question. Bah! They will see each other again! And thus, Eudes left the library and headed towards the Academy's gates.

Elizabeth sensed someone who reeks of dark magic happening to be close by. His choices of book to read intrigued her. Should she approach him or s̶t̶a̶l̶k̶ observe him from a safe distance? She decided to do nothing for the moment until her target left the library. What a shame.

The last time I meet a charming dark wizard in the making, I ended up getting romantically obsessed in gaining his acknowledgement. I lived for him and died without him. Never again.

'Shut up, my other half. No one wanted to hear your sob story. Who is supposed to be in control now, anyway? The science enthusiast?'

'We might be broken and fragmented, but we are still the same person. Stop talking to ourselves.'

Elizabeth sighed. Normal people don't hear voices inside their head arguing against each other. Something is definitely wrong with her. Is there any cures for her condition?

Wait, there is. Say goodbye to Liz and Eli. Elizabeth's willpower is enough to overwhelm any resistance from her alter egos.

Assimilation complete. With this, I'm whole once again.

Elizabeth, formerly known as the eldritch college student smiled. Let the game begin.

The stage is set and the actors are ready. This time, the hunter shall become the hunted.

Aurora sat in her room that was, contrary to someone else's, one well locked and barricaded with multiple locks. She inspected the looted maeterial of her latest raid and her grimoire.

Nacht's research material proved useful in understanding the basics of runes and their applications. Runes were a versatile tool that could be employed for enchantments, to strengthen complicated spells and even for what seemed like barriers. Nacht was a veritable specialist in the usage of runes and her knowledge profound. That much was obvious.

If Aurora ever used runes, Nacht was her girl to go. She would need to ask her more about runes in the future. Especially, how to jam them.

- Aurora gained very very very very very very basic understanding of the functioning of runes -

Her grimoire was a true treasure. So many lovely fire spells with which she could incinerate people. :blob_evil_two: She wanted to test them out while wielding her grimoire as amplifier, but sadly that wasn't possible. She had already set her room afire once when she was a child. She didn't need a repetition of that disaster. Fire was after all dangerous.

The girl came to after an hour.

She pushed herself up into a sitting position quietly, taking in her room. With the windows closed and blinds drawn, very little light illuminated the room. But that was fine. Dark deeds needed to happen in dark places, and it wasn't dark enough yet. So the girl spoke her own name.

"Nacht."

What little light remaining in the room vanished, swallowed by the room which suddenly plunged into darkness. Nacht got up from the bed, ambled over to her desk, and pricked her finger with a needle. The droplets of blood trickled steadily onto the floor.

"An ill-natured act begets vengeance. But a light-hearted prank begets another light-hearted prank. You've done a lot, so here's a gift; avoid dust temporarily lest you sneeze."

Having finished up, the now-smiling-again Nacht snapped her fingers and the atmosphere in the room returned to normal; gloomy, but not pitch black. After all, curses had to be performed in the dark.

"I wonder if this one-day allergy to dust will take effect on whoever snuck in. The curse's recipient is unclear, after all."

A slight cold shiver overcame Aurora. She remained oblivious to the evil intentions harboured by another girl in the dormitory.

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu." <.< So much sneezing today.

Aurora suddenly sneezed while studying her grimoire. It even included a vast section for lightning. No wonder that it was called elemental ...

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu."

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu."

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu."

<.< It was probably because of her grimoire. It was really dusty. But that was the price, a price she was prepared to pay. She had to bite her teeth and continue her studies.

Aurora returned to her lightning related studies and continued sneezing repeatedly for the rest of the night.

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu."

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu." With more learning material under her arms, Aurora hatschued her way to the dining hall to get something to eat for today.

She had studied much until late into the night with her typical magic related obsession and she was hungry now.

A big head like hers needed energy.

"Haaaatschuuuuuuuuu. Haaaaaaatttttschuuuuuu. Haaaaaaaaatttttschuuuuuuu." Stupid sneezing. It is almost like a curse. <.<

"I'd say bless you, but at the rate you're going even a bishop would run out of magic. Did you catch a cold?"

Swir joined her from the side, carrying a sandwich and a cup of steaming hot something, trying not to grin too much as she looked on with some schadenfreude.

<.< "Thank you, Nacht for your sympathy, but I guess I deserve it. The books I read were really dusty ..."

Aurora stopped. Her nose was triggered. "Do I smell iron here?" O.o

"Oh, I get you loud and clear. You leave a tome lying around for enough time, and the cloud of dust that it gathers gets everywhere when you try to read. Though I think you're sneezing way too much even so; perhaps you have an allergy to dust or something?"

Swir held up her hand, revealing one bandaged finger.

"I accidentally cut myself yesterday, maybe the iron is the blood you're smelling."

"But no, it is not your finger, even when the fragrance is similar. I know this smell. The smell of oxidised iron."

Aurora leaned closer to Nacht's hot beverage, identifying it as the source of the smell. "Is this coffee?"

After performing her usual routine of waking up, having breakfast, doing morning exercise, having a shower, then heading off to have the Student Council Meeting, I rubbed the back of my neck as I stepped out of the Student Council room. I sighed at the amount of work the teachers were expecting us to do, along with the problems already appearing within the sports clubs and non-sports clubs.
"Hmm?"
I felt someone massaging my shoulders and turned to see the Student Council Secretary there, towering behind me with a smile on his face. He said something about wanting me to rely on him with flushed cheeks. I wondered if he was already coming down with a cold from working hard, so thought I couldn't put more work on my friends like that.
"Ah, it's all right. You have a ton of work to do, too, no? I'll just sort out these folders and then do some self-study in the library." I said with a smile.
For some reason, he looked a bit disheartened by my response..."Well, I guess all the Student Council members are the type wanting to help others." I thought as I dismissed everyone for the day. The Secretary insisted on helping, which I thought was okay to allow since it would mean the work would be done faster.

After finishing up with that, I said bye to him before heading off to the library with my notebook to continue making notes.
"I hope the new students are all settling in all right." I muttered to myself as I entered the library.

Elizabeth approached the constantly sneezing girl and offered her a pill, before she can spread any viruses to the entire dining hall.

"Excuse me, Aurora, isn't it? I happened to have something to relieve you from chronic sneezing. My family made this."

She then turned to face the other girl who claimed to 'accidentally' cut herself yesterday and offered to treat her wound. By licking it.

"As for you, my saliva have healing properties. It can close small wounds in no time. Do you need healing?"

Aurora leaned closer to Nacht's hot beverage, identifying it as the source of the smell. "Is this coffee?"
"Yep. Hot off the press. One of the things that can actually keep me awake long enough in the mornings. Want a sip?"

Stirring the drink a bit more, Swir added two sugar cubes, then poured in a little bit of milk, causing the drink's colour to lighten considerably, and offered it to Aurora.

She'd also slipped in some medicine to suppress the curse until it's duration ended. After all, Swir was mischievous, not evil.

I don't think that pill would help the allergy any, but I suppose taking it will draw attention away from the coffee. Oh well.

"No, but thank you for the offer."

Swir declined politely with a smile.

=^.^= "Yes, of course." Auora took a few sips and as expected it was blood. She sugar couldn't hide it, it was blood. But the coffee and the blood were really good. It invigorated her body and spirit. She could feel how her magic enjoyed the drink.

^^ "Thank you, Nacht, danke. Your are a really good friend." Aurora gave Nacht a little hug.

"Your coffee is excellent. I feel better now. If only could get more for the future."

Aurora turned to the completely unknown girl after taking the pill. She wouldn't consume it now. It could be poisoned after all. And the girl seemed overall suspicious. Healing saliva?

Auora smiled. "Yes, my name is Auora. Do we know each other, Miss ..." Auora tilted her head, inspecting the girl closely. Her behaviour, her speech patterns, her reactions.

Swir declined politely with a smile.

"Are you sure? Perhaps a little demonstration is in order."

Elizabeth cut one of her finger with a knife and performed her treatment on herself. The wounds disappeared as if it was never there, leaving unblemished skin.

The knife, however, is not that lucky. Direct contact with Elizabeth's blood caused the metal to start smoking.

It melted, huh? I guess my blood is still as toxic as ever.

"Elizabeth Revin the XIV. At your service. Coffee and blood is good, but not every blood is safe to drink. Mine, for example..."

"Keine ursache, Aurora. It's a senior's job to look after her juniors. If you want more, I'll send you some the next time I brew some."

Chuckling affectionately, Swir patted Aurora, ruffling her hair.
