Oh, damn. Too many scammers.I got the same kind of message last month from someone also called "natalie", saying the same thing to a lot of writers. They got banned pretty quickly so I can only imagine they were sending suspicious links to people who responded.

Suspicious message!
Causal readers usually prefer to express their appreciation more quietly by leaving a like or a short comment like "thanks for the chapter" (tftc). It's rare for readers to praise.![]()
With a little searching natalie-0 to natalie-5 exist, 2 are deleted and the other 4 were all active at similar time (15-20) mins ago. They are condcting their scam through direct messages so its harder to track.

Pardon me, I am new to this. The name should have been a dead giveaway. Probably a two or three-step scam.
"I thought this would be mediocre but it was surprisingly good, keep it up!"I received a text this morning, and don't know if it is legit or not. View attachment 48407 I am feeling happiness and caution at the same time.
More likely they target everyone indiscriminately, but it's more obvious with the unknown ones simply because the comments get more easily lost or reported in the comments under popular stories.I pretty much assume any comment I get is someone trying to lure me into a scam, especially if it's filled with praise. Readers nowadays rarely comment on chapters, much less send messages. Popular writers probably get legitimate comments and messages. But I think these scammers specifically target the unpopular because we're more likely to get excited over compliments and fall into their traps.
What the hellLast time, I ended up with an artist that was apparently organised in a stock corporation for tax reasons.

Did you find out?I wanted them to provide me their SWIFT and IBAN code as I would only pay via bank transfer.
I then went to teach them about international banking. And wondering why their contacts listed identified them as a bank with seat in America and why their business is apparently a publicly listed company.
I also wondered what their prices would be converted into Danish króna.
