So the idea is a leveling system similar to how chinese cultivation in Herding Gods and etching magic circles in bodies like KR instead of LitRPG lvl 1 to 99 or standard chinese cultivation of Qi Condensation level 1 to 10 and then breakthrough to Foundation Building lvl 1.

It is like building a tower, the first floor is ground floor, the bigger it is, the more likely it is to support building the tower even taller.

How we make the ground floor is to achieve breakthrough in the human body, which is separated into three components; body for warrior, mind for wizard and energy for sorceror (wizard and sorceror are not interchangeable in this case, wizard can weave mana in the air but not store in body, sorceror has mana in body and can cast wild magic but not properly)

Also, each component can in theory breakthrough at least thrice. For example, the body can breakthrough thrice, the first breakthrough makes the user stronger than normal by ten times, the second stronger than normal by a hundred and the third is by a thousand.

In the past, there are two main branches of the three storeys tower; purist who sticks to one component and those who would do the three storeys with all three components having variations of breakthrough, either 2A 1B or ABC.

Of course, with time came the knowledge that a single storey can accommodate more than one component and now the strongest three storey tower is triple breakthroughs in all three components simultaneously.

It is over here that I am bummed out. The constraint on my idea is that once the storey is made using breakthrough/s of the component/s, future breakthroughs will only lead to next floor and not expansion of the current floor. While I think this is fair like some chinese cultivations that has this limit, I also feel restricted.

But the idea that a person can willynilly build a floor and then continue to expand on own leisure also feels dirty and cheating, especially for those who already did their hardest to expand their fullest at one go.

Thanks for reading and hope to see some advices.

I'm not very good at designing leveling systems, but my experience as a reader suggests that the most important thing is for a leveling system to have consistent, measurable standards and indicators. This allows readers to visualize the protagonist's power growth and compare it to other characters.

A guy rides on a donkey into town, the burdened animal walk slow, the stranger is sitting crookedly a top the beast, one feet dragging on the floor, his hat tattered, full of holes, his clothes dirty and patched everywhere, two pistols so rusty that everyone doubts they can shoot. The donkey stops; the man reach into his pocket for a flask and takes a huge gulp. He looks around and say (although no one had ask)
"OP need to change his drug dealer, that crap you are smoking is bad"
No one paid much atention, no one really cared. The stranger gently patter the donkey behind, the animal started to move slowly like if saying:
"Men, I am tired of this bullshit"
Everyone went on with their life, and the stranger was never seen again. But his words still stand.

If we can't build out the foundation with a structure built, then we have to burn it down and expand the foundation afterwards. Then we can build more.

So your idea of making something new and original is renaming "Qi Condescending Realm" into "First Floor" and be done with it? This sounds stupid ...ly weird enough that cult-evasion readers might actually dig it.

Actually, that is something I wanted to do.

In CNs martial arts thingy and cultivation, sometimes it takes an entire crippling to uninstall and reinstall shit.

Silly me, because I ain't planning to do that.
