Well, it happens in real life, why not in fiction?
Same for relationships between two or more boys, or mixed groups of two or more...

Either you're asking the wrong question here or missing a qualifier, I think.

It's like the classic question: Is a relationship between a man and a woman without romance possible? I asked my colleagues, and the majority of them answered "no."
Well, in the digital age, this question has become even more widespread: Is a relationship between two or more girls without GL possible?!

It would depend on how you define "Love" - if you mean "without any kind of romantic love" absolutely possible. Now, readers might infer something that is not intended or not even there, but that is on them.
Now, if you consider love to be a spectrum, then no - friendship is a form of love so any non-antagonistic (and some antagonistic) relationship will involve love of some sort.
Heck it is even possible to have loving relationships without sex (or, of course, sexual relationships without love). It is all possible.
Now, it may be less interesting to readers if there isn't some kind of ... canoodling going on, but, if the author does not feel it is required, then it is not...

Unless there is a specific definition of "relationship" at play here?

It happens all the time in reality so it should make sense… also if that kind of thing doesn’t make sense then I’m screwed as an author as I don’t like writing romance that much… nonetheless humans are quite adaptable so most things in relation to relationships make sense one way or another as long as it’s written correctly-nyah.

No, it's actually illegal to have friends.
This.

Everyone knows that you either go down on each other or go down fighting. There is no friendship, only wrestling, one way or another.

Why wouldn't it? I had a large group of female friends who were all super close to one another growing up. Also even as an adult I have at least 2 female friends I call at least one a month even though we live in separate states from each other. Female friendships aren't strange or rare.

absolutely. People who say it doesn't make sense needs to be detoxified or stop thinking girls locking their arms/holding hands = lesbians.
