So very few stories have the true savior of the world ever considered, God.
It's always the achievement of the heroes, a very man-centric type of story.
After noticing this I realize why so many stories just feel the same.

The issue is, an omniscient and omnipotent being saving the world makes for a very dull story.

Who are the real saviours of human civilisation: the heroes or the parents?

There are no real saviours of civilisation. The closest you can get to those are particularly infuential or powerful figures in politics and diplomacy, sometimes great generals of the past (including their troops) with decisive victories under their command... but those would be saviours of nations at best.

Why do heroes get more attention, even in fiction, than the parents in war tragedies?

Human nature. Humans just want to look up to something greater, and heroic stories simply draw more than struggles of Villager_B.

The heroes of human civilization are farmers and ranchers.

We wouldn't have gotten out of being hunter-gatherers if not for them feeding everyone.

As for the second question, hero journeys are kept simple to have the widest audience.

Dune and A Song of Fire and Ice, as examples, have rather complex history and politics, with a cast of dozens of characters. Only the people willing to reread the books several times are gonna remember all the nuance.

A hero is someone who saved the majority. Those who save themselves or those they care about or are obligated to save because of backlash if they don’t walk the grey line, but there is definitely goodness in those who earn the right to be called heroes.

Because parents stand for their own children which is expected but heroes stand for (their children, if they have them and) everyone else.

This is a lack of understanding what i mean.
Many heroes nowdays are godless, however, what better heroes than those God uplifts and works his will through. And it's not just chosing them and sending them out, but an ongoing relationship that works upon the heroes characters as the story plays out.

The true heroes are the moms amd dads that raise children, the farmers and ranchers that feed us, the tired and sore road crews, the nurses and doctors, teachers and professors*. It's them that give rise to the Spoken heroes.

We live in a world where bad things happen and we're mortal. So naturally the people who turn to be heroes have to be self sacrificing. This means... yes, they have to be people full of love. If you look at people making those sacrifices, its people with love and courage together. So yes, that's part of why you see a lot of heroes in the Bible, and Jesus too.

And if you'll notice... very strong leaders, who are good, often do personal sacrifices in achieving their objectives. A current leader in the US, some people didn't notice that he had personally donated out of his own money to many good causes. And that he's spent time off the clock with angel moms. And yet people don't see that he had personally... from his own pocket tried to save people.
