Writing about a depression-driven suicidal character is terrifying!

Sometimes, I got too caught up in the characters' mood and thought process that very dangerous intrusive thoughts started to pop up. It freaked me out when I woke up from that dream-like stage.

Be very careful if you are an author with strength in exploring the characters' psyche. Really freaking dangerous! First of all, you need to get into the mood and when you do... Oh boy! I felt really uncomfortable with it.

You're doing it wrong. You're supposed to start with emotions you already have, then put them on paper.

That way they go away, and you can't write the character anymore- dooming yourself to obscurity.

Same known trouble for "actor" job.

They "cant get out"
The most iconic recent exemple, is the actor of JOKER.
He suicided after the movie.

Now its contrary, fking actors try to PUT THEMSELVES in movies and flopping them. (actor asked the creator of the book, that he wanted his "role" to be gay/trans/whatever. Chad reply : WTF?)

Haha, I do this for every character, and most of my characters are dealing with some type of depression. It may feel uncomfortable, but I don't know. I love placing myself in my character's shoes, not just the protagonist but anyone I write, as I allow myself to feel what they feel. It allows for more emotional impact, but I sometimes cry because of how deep I go.

I love exploring different types of psyches. Most of my stories are psychological because they go deep into the characters' psyches.:blob_sir:
