Why is music in gacha games so good?

The question is in the title. There are obviously a lot of trashy gacha games like Raid or AFK something that have nothing to them. There are a lot of lesser known gacha games that have a nothing burger as OST. At the same time, there are games like Genshin, Honkai, Arknights, and lesser known like Path to Nowhere, PGR, and so on. Those games, they hide high quality music pieces, hidden and not-so-hidden gems are everywhere. More than that, even a single game can have a massive music genres variety, so you can usually find a piece you will like even if you are picky.

Why they do it though? Is it for advertisement purposes? Is it their creative outlet? Why would they spend so much time, energy, and recources to experiment, to make bangers? So few will listen to those songs because of gacha games bad rep. I'm not trying to defend gacha games here btw, gacha monetization system is cancer. I'm curious why they do it.

I guess the next reason for making this thread is to tell you, go listen to gacha games music. You don't have to play those games to listen to music. Open YT or soundcloud or whatever site you use, type a title of gacha game, listen to music from those game. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised and find something you will like and add to your playlist.

I am here because I want to say that only highly focused works such as Arknights and the Hoyoverse (because China is pushing damn hard) have good quality shit because the people there do what they love and also the budget is damn high due to projected profit being higher.

Most if not all gacha, especially shoddy porn ones, have shit music

Not that I would know, I play them in mute.

Hell, I play porn in mute.

No really, I can't stand the moaning.

Punishing Gray Raven is a good example of this not being true. Destiny Child was a good example. Although for me and you 400k or 100k dollars a month sounds good, top earners in gacha game industry have at least 10mills a month. Another thing, Destiny Child was Korean. Blue Archive is Korean, Nikke is Korean, Limbus Company is Korean. So it's not just China being heavily invested in this either.

Yes.

Koreans.

I mean, the country that kicked started phone gambling and pachinko is surprisingly lax in music department becauss they know that the tiddies are good enough.

Ps. I only knew about Punishing Grey Raven from porn.

I genuinely thought it was an extension of Hoyo or Nikkie.

All those gachas have awesome music though?
...

Yeah I admit that.

Fron time to time when I was intro-ed by Utube.

Here's the thing, I do not download new gacha. I only stick to mine that I had played for MORE THAN a decade and long hated. It is Age of Ishtaria and I hate how they just made another power escalation by intro-ing 11*... fuck.

Ever since Ayakashi Ghost Guild (I did download the supposed sequel, it is not for me), Pirate Maidens and Valkyrie Crusade turned me off, I genuinely stopped venturing down the gacha games and only know their existence through porn and music.

Old gacha games have shit music. So when Operation Pyrite was a banger, I was shocked.

It's not about playing gacha games my friend. It's about music. I have not played every gacha I've mentioned in this thread, and I have no intention of doing it in the future. Yet I listen to music from those games because there are genuinely good songs there.

I personally don't play many video games, but my brother plays Genshin Impact and some other very similar games, and I can listen to the music playing in the other room, and it's amazing.

As to why it's so good? I have no idea. I guess companies invest a lot nowadays to keep the players engaged.

Anime style music is melodramatic. Which makes it obvious to most people what type of emotion it presents. Making it more relatable, this more popular.

Arknights mentioned, the hivemind will soon arrive. Unless we're listening to music.

There's a running gag, or rather proven conspiracy theory that Arknights is only there to advertise the music. Heck, the CC lobby tracks and some boss bgms are better than what most "AAA" artists drop.

Can you please elaborate on "anime style music"? What does it mean?

A lot of passionate musicians are addicts of gacha games themselves, so it makes sense they would work in an industry that allows them to gamble for cute girls even more.

The new industry scam, getting them to work for in game gatcha rewards instead of real cash :ROFLMAO:
