The question is in the title. There are obviously a lot of trashy gacha games like Raid or AFK something that have nothing to them. There are a lot of lesser known gacha games that have a nothing burger as OST. At the same time, there are games like Genshin, Honkai, Arknights, and lesser known like Path to Nowhere, PGR, and so on. Those games, they hide high quality music pieces, hidden and not-so-hidden gems are everywhere. More than that, even a single game can have a massive music genres variety, so you can usually find a piece you will like even if you are picky.
Why they do it though? Is it for advertisement purposes? Is it their creative outlet? Why would they spend so much time, energy, and recources to experiment, to make bangers? So few will listen to those songs because of gacha games bad rep. I'm not trying to defend gacha games here btw, gacha monetization system is cancer. I'm curious why they do it.
I guess the next reason for making this thread is to tell you, go listen to gacha games music. You don't have to play those games to listen to music. Open YT or soundcloud or whatever site you use, type a title of gacha game, listen to music from those game. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised and find something you will like and add to your playlist.
