why does the published chapter look different from the how I edited it?

So I wrote a chapter in word, and copy past into scribblehub editor and when I publish it comes out like this:

I tried deleting the entire chapter and trying again, but same result.

I tried the same with the other chapters and only chapter 1 comes out correct. The prologue and chapter 2 come out different from how I wrote it.

when you're copying and pasting from one writing software to the next the format can change. here's suggestion. when you're ready to paste it into scribble hub don't.

first, copy your document from word and then paste it into grammarly.com, do a quick edit and then copy from grammarly into scribble hub.

grammarly usually fixes the format before I paste it into scribble hub.

Oh wait, it's only for desktop isn't it? I'm using my phone. Is there a website that can correct the format for mobile?

Does your phone have note? Copy from doc to note. You can fix it there. Usually if you copy it from a note to SH, the format doesn't change anymore. It works for me since I also write on the phone. Gudluck ~

When you copy text, it can have hidden 'styles' and such integrated into the copied text. That's why there is often a 'paste in plain text format' option when right-clicking in google docs, Microsoft word, etc.

Really caused me a lot of headaches getting all the styles and such sorted out since I was copying from all kinds of sources (random places I would write) into the main manuscript document and getting wildly different sections.

Since I use a lot of italics in my writing, I need some small level of built-in formatting. MS Word has a pretty complex text format that can mess up during copy-paste, depending on how you format. Instead, I use MS OneNote which has a more stripped-down but still decently-featured text system and which is available on PC/Mac/Smartphone, as well as in-browser. I just write in there and copy-paste my formatted text. I've only ever had an issue once on SH, and I assume that was some sort of weird error on my end.
