And you can't even write crack anymore. When you rush an ending of a novel, just so you won't be one of those who would leave an unfinished story for readers who don't check the last updated date. When you want to write, but can't.

Don't mind me, I am taking a break from writing today.

Taking breaks are important to keep your mind fresh and relaxed!

Pumping out chapters like some chinese authors makes you fall into repeated word salads to reach an adequate word count. :blob_okay:

Funny thing, since I did write one novel that was set in Ancient China. I used to pump out 5k words per day for it. It ended up in Novel Updates.

My word vomit got mistaken for Xianxia. Hehe.

But did you do it for 1k+ chapters or no? Because if Yes then it is an achievment in itself

No, just 100 chapters. But, 200k words in total. My first novel. A cringe fest like no other. :blob_cookie:
You have to start somewhere and that is a great start, my first story was not even 30 pages long from start to finish. And those are pages, not chapters. :blob_cringe: And as long as it didn't have cyber ninjas from outer space with a brooding attitude and corny one-liners, dressed in plot armor, then I highly doubt it was cringe. :blob_teehee:

The only cure for cringe is time and editing. So give it time and hand it off to an editor.

No, no editors. If one doesn't make money off writing, they at least shouldn't spend money on it. I do my best when I edit. From time to time, some people point out typos. This is the most I am willing to offer my readers.

Still though, what percentage fictions on this site can say they made it to 100 chapters? My guess would be less than 10%
